Is it just me, or is it a guilty pleasure to be away from the boards throughout the day, and come back to find out they were dead and you didn't miss much?

:woot:

It just shows that they were completely unsure of themselves regarding Richard and Mary's story. They wanted to do something new, but were afraid of alienating old fans or people unfamiliar with the subplot. That said, the plane scene is one of my favorite action sequences in any Spider-Man film, and Scott and Davidtz did well with what little they were given.

The actors did fine. And the action/fight scene on the plane was pretty good. Still some weird stuff happened during that scene that I scratch my head over.

If you're gonna create something new or forge ahead into new territory, you gotta make it interesting. You gotta captivate the audience and pull them into the story. The parent's story failed to deliver. It was an interesting premise and I was intrigued by the idea but the result was bad.

The underground science train looks like something from Spider-man and his Amazing Friends cartoon. I half wonder if it would have been his secret 'Spidey Cave' from then on like they had in that show. lol

I also felt the resolution to the parents storyline was underwhelming. They built up the mystery, but the revelation just felt so mundane and wrapped up too nicely.

Ha! That's hilarious! I won't be able to watch the movie again without thinking about that.

Yeah, the resolution was wrapped up too nicely and you could spot it coming from a mile away.

Batman: I'm not going to kill you. I want you to do me a favor. I want you to tell all your friends about me.
Nic: What are you?
Batman: I'm Batman.

So after seeing night at the museum 3 today and after watching GOTG for the first time last night I think my list of 2014 movies form best to worst is complete. I have to say night at the museum was a good end to the trilogy and probly the best of the 3. So my 2014 movies form best to worst goes something like this.

1. Dawn of the apes- Classic, great store very emotional and some of the best CGI I have ever seen before!
2. ASM2- Most underrated movie I have ever seen! and on the verge of being a classic
3. Cap2- Great action and the winter solder was very cool
4. Interstellar- makes you think and is very different and just a great movie and very very emotional movie!
5. Xmen DOFP- Great story action could have been a little better though.
6. Night at the museum 3-good end to the trilogy and probly the best of the 3.
7. GOTG- While good not quit at the level that people made it out to be. One of the more emotional CBM I have seen and I care about the characters more in the movie then a lot of other CBM but the story was kind of bad and parts of the last 35 minutes or so kind of dragged on at times.
8. TMNT- Good action and very funny not a great movie but I wasn't expecting a Oscar like movie has even the old ones are far form being the best made movies.
9. Godzilla- took to long to see Godzilla and the story could have been better.
10. Million ways to die in the west- very very funny and I normally don't like stupid and drifty humor.
11. Noah- could be higher on the list if the end of the movie didn't go so agest the bible so much towards the end of the movie.
12. Penguins of Madagascar - I have only seen Madagascar 1 and 3 so I don't know how to compare it to 2 but I would say it is probly better then 1 maybe better then 3.
13. Expendables 3- not has good as 2 haven't seen the first 1 so I don't know how I can compared it to 1
14. The nut job- had some funny parts but still kind of so so
15. Lego movie- so so overrated has it was boring doll and not really funny outside of batman.
16. Robo cop- cant really think of any thing to say but so so
17. Transformers age of crap lol- But really one of the worst movies I have ever seen makes a movie like star wars 1 and 2 look good lol.

I saw the nut job, lego movie, GOTA on dvd not theaters so I saw 14 movies in theaters this year. I saw xmen DOFP 2 times in theaters, asm2 3 times and intersteller 2 times. So I have to say this is one of the best years for movies for me has in a normal year there are only like 5-7 movies I care about seeing at all and in a normal year I probly go to the theater 5-9 times. This year 14 movies and like 18 times going to the movies!

Has any one seen batman assault on arkham? I am watching it for the first time right now and man the woman in this movie lol.

Why would I watch Assault on Arkham when I've played Arkham Asylum and prefer to continue liking the Suicide Squad?

I wonder if RIM will return to these boards now that the "Amazing Spider-Man" franchise is possibly finished?

Hey, guys! Taking a break from the wild rumor, my friend and I released the 2nd issue of our comic book today. It's fun, light superheroing for Infinite Wonders #2... and it's free!! I've been really humbled by hearing what people have been getting out of it so far, I'd love for you to take a look!

What do you guys think of Man of Steel?
It was okay, not nearly as bad as people make it out to be. I can't stand the "Killer Superman" and "Mass Destruction" complaints. However, I feel it missed the point of the character. While making a dark and gritty Superman film isn't wrong, it needed to end with him rising above it all as a shining beacon of hope. However, we never see that. That is where I think the movie faltered. It was a good movie, just not a great Superman movie.

And that looks great, Spidey_62! I'll have to check it out when I get more time!

I really didn't like Man of Steel, lol. The destruction porn for the last half of the movie was ridiculous, it didn't feel like Superman should. Even with the more gritty and realistic (I'm sick of that) approach, it could have been done a lot smarter than it was. It's just silly, a big overdramatic sillyfest.

Wheee, neat!

I thought it was kind of good but I thought a sequal could be a lot lot better. The movie has one of the better CBM soundtracks and I really like the super man suit one of the best CBM suits ever. I liked the way they used Jor-el in the story. I didn't have a problem with the way they clark killed zod has he had no other choice. I hated how he just let jonathan die and like people have said the movie had to much action expecial in the 3erd act of the movie. There are much worse CBM but there are also much better CBM out there.

But ever one like porn lol

Man of Steel was a good movie for me. I understand some people had problems with their take on Superman, but I find the arguments blown out of proportion. The movie is very enjoyable for me and I thought their update on Superman was refreshing and I want to see how he moves forward in future movies.

So the Oscar noms are in. Some great people nominated (Congrats Emma and Felicity!), but what bugged the hell out of me and a lot of others was how overwhelmingly white and male the nominees were. Not a single person of color in the acting or directing categories, Selma only got two nominations. The fact that the average voter is old, white and male is quite telling.

This is why I'm not big on award shows

Yeah, David Oylewo getting snubbed was pretty bad. He deserved a nomination way more than Cooper.
