Haven't been here in a long long time but I remembered...I think it was OriginalMiles who was a huge Dane fan or something. Just check Dane's latest tweet. :word:

Hope you've been doing well. I remember you were one of the first members I interacted with on here

Congratulations chief. :)

I was just thinking the same in the GD thread :yay:

I've been good, just focusing on college and stressful job applications . What about you?

Good luck! I got a bit of freedom today, but I have to go back to work from tomorrow. Btw I caught interstellar before it was taken down in theatres. It has got to be one of the best, if not the best, sci-fi epics I have ever watched. The performances were top notch, and the excellence of the visual effects is indescribable. And don't even get me started on the plot. It actually seems like all of this can happen. If Nolan doesn't get the best visual effects Oscar for this, then I don't want to live on this planet anymore.

Thanks! Enjoy the freedom while you can. What kind of place do you work at?

Ah, I'm glad you liked Interstellar. I would go on and on about it, but I won't for the sake of those who are actively on the boards - they'll get tired of me :funny: In short, yes, it is easily one of the best movies I've ever seen, and I can't remember the last time I was at the edge of my seat at the movies for the entirety of a film.

2015 should be an excellent year for films as well.

So you guys got any oscar predictions/hopes?

I hope Grand Budapest Hotel takes best picture, though I definitely think Boyhood has a great and well deserved chance at it. I'm just a huge Wes Anderson fan, and that was definitely my favorite film of 2014. Oh and it'd be awesome if Carell won for Best Actor, He was insane in Foxcatcher (again though, so many other incredible performances that could easily take the cake)

I have no clue ha most of the movies that are always up for Oscars I never hear about in till the Oscars lol. I did not once see a trailer, preview for the grand Budapest hotel and I had never heard of the movie boyhood in till I saw a copy of it at work lol. So I have no idea what those movies are even about. I never heard about whiplash in till some one on hear said something about it to.

So what's everyone's rankings of 2014's CBMs?

Mine would probably be something like this:

1. ASM2 (9.3/10)
2. GOTG (8.8/10)
3. TWS (8.5/10)
4. DOFP (8.0/10)

I would have to think before I could give them scores but I would go like this.

1. ASM2
2. TWS
3. DOFP
4. TMNT
5. GOTG

Asm2 easily the best. 2 and 3 I keep kind of flip flopping on. I think TWS had better action and they both have good storyes but I kind of like DOFP story better. TMNT I thought was pretty funny and I wasn't expecting much and I thought the action was good. I would take the snow montian action over most of the action in other CBM and movies this year. GOTG I loved the charaters and the movie is one of the move emotional CBM out there but I found the story to be kind of lame and same with the villain.

DOFP-(9.5/10) Winter Soldier-(9/10) Guardians of the Galaxy-(10/10! Made my personal all-time list)

The Amazing Spiderman 2-(7/10) Sin City A Dame to Kill For-(6/10) Snowpiercer-(10/10)

1.) The Amazing Spider-Man 2
2.) X-Men: Days of Future Past
3.) Captain America: The Winter Soldier
4.) Guardians of the Galaxy
5.) The Scribbler
