+ Lex as 'Alexander the Great.' Reference to an earlier episode.
.

I thought he was supposed to be Mark Antony? Hence the reason Lana was Cleopatra?

How the hell did that hole in Clark's chest cause by the plant get patched up like that?

he's a kryptonian on Earth so he heals himself  C'mon people this is basic stuff....

I think it was Alexander the Great... never heard of Marc Antony... but, Lex has mentioned (and I think mentioned that he looks up to) Alexander the Great.

? Never heard of Marc Antony- or don't remember... don't know.... just never heard of Marc Antony. Name sounds slightly familiar- but, that's about it.

He was a Roman general. Banged Cleopatra after Ceasar died.

Just google searched it.... but, still gives me an Alexander the Great vibe. Must be that earlier reference to Alexander the Great in previous episodes.

I dont know, Alexander the Great and Cleopatra doesnt make much sense. The "couples" had matching costumes at the party like Lois and Ollie who went as Robin Hood and Maid Marion

/\ Yeah, just what it reminded me of though- that's all.... I interpreted it completely differently and was probably wrong with what the actual costume was- just, that Alexander the Great references are really embedded in my memory. Maybe it was meant to be both, Lex is Marc Antony but gives a sense of Alexander the Great- or at least to me.

lol leave it to the smart people to relize that
I said he was marc antony too

I didn't like it as much
but they pretty much needed a villian or something to bring in the arrow
also to say that in future episods there will be phantom zone

BUT WHY why green arrow?

would a hal Jordon chartar been too creepy for lois? lol

i assumed he was Julius Caesar, i mean Caesar and Cleopatra came first, and why be Antony if u could be Caesar

Well this episode sucked ass.
- Clark moping again.
- Lex telling Clark for the 50 billionth time that he isn't welcomed on the premises. How about growing a pair Lex?
- Lana doing something stupid yet again. Ho-bag.
- The Phantom Zone escapee met a quick pathetic end.
- No Lionel
- Lois was in the episode.

Please if there is a god in heaven, this season Clark will be taking the necessary steps to becoming the legend and not be a sad sack after every episode.

Wow. Just Wow. I take what I said about "Sneeze" back. Really. I'm awestruck by Wither.....

I thought Lex was dressed as "Alexander the Great" because hes always comparing himself to him. Then again, Alexander the Great was gay. So who knows.

bwhaha, Jimmy was just deep-throated by a plant. And he swallowed its seed.

He may have to hang out with Chloe every day now just to reassure his manhood.

episode as a whole wasnt too great but the message was....clark has no one ...........and should take this as a sign to get a boot in the ass and go travel do watever to become supes

This is the second time they've riffed off that particular cliché, though it's a good one. The first time was in Pariah after Alicia was offed. It's a subtle homage to Steve McQueen in The Great Escape. McQueen of course played the "Cooler King" in the film. He was the loner that tried everything to escape Stalag Luft III, but was one of the very few left bouncing his baseball against the wall in the end, alone, just like Clark in a metaphoric way.

Folks need to give the SV writers a little more credit, I think. There's a LOT of stuff hidden under the surface of all the angst and romantic entanglements (no pun intended.) ;)

Hmmm and I thought it was a reference to Clarks blue balls over loosing Lana :hyper:

Well we can see where my mind is going this morning.

Anyway I liked the ep a FOTW who isn't related to k. Nice to show they havent forgotten the events that closed and opened the season. Hartly is growing on me. I saw much more of OQ in him this time, of course he also had more screen time.

BTW (and no I did read the 20 pages that came after last night) did anyone else notice the red cape coming off of Lex's shoulders. Leaves itself open to a lot of interpretation. Is that how Lex sees himself?

The only real complaint I have is Chloe coming out of no where to save the day. I mean seriously why didnt Clark just heat vision the limbs as they were flying at him?
