Originally GA didn't have a goatee.

In 1969 artist Neal Adams decided to update the character's visual appearance by giving him a goatee beard and costume of his own design.

As I was watching this episode, one of the prevalent thoughts going through my brain was "where's Terra-Man?" I mean, it's a plant-centric episode, they should've at least mentioned him in some capacity. Based on that thought, I would've had one of those geekgasm moments if Chloe happened to say that her unnamed professor was Toby Manning.

Another thought that occured to me is "why is Clark's invulnerability automatically negated if he's up against something of alien origin?" This issue may have been addressed earlier in the thread, but I don't feel like going through 19 pages, looking for an answer. Being from another planet shouldn't make a damn difference; Mongul's punches should hurt just as much as Metallo's punches.

Green Arrow was awesome, though.

bc they needed a way to bring up the phantom zone and get chloe to send the stuff to her prof.

I'll do you one better. Why, knowing that his invulnerability was nullified, did he let her get the first shot? Why didn't he heat-blast the first vine that came near him?

I dont ever look that close at him.

I'm really starting to HATE Lex. However, I think I'm supposed to.

.... and Lana you can kiss that identity good bye. Lex aint gonna let you hold on to it babe.
Exactly! That's the point I was trying to make in my review. Lana seemingly progressed as a character in her convo w/ Chloe. But what ultimately happens? She decides to go ahead and get involved w/ Lex anyway.

Now, I know she's trying to see Lex is a good person, but after six years, shouldn't Lana at least have an inkling that Lex is as secretive (if not moreso) than Clark? I thought she was supposed to grow less naive, not more naive.

Hello, I'm going to agree with Kabooms take on the episode. Sure it was a Species/Poison Ivy rip off, but that wasn't the point of the episode.

The writing was tight, and done well. The acting was awsome, and it's really showing that Clark right now is really alone in the world. The guest actress was quite good also, and I'm loving this version of Jimmy. Plus it's about time Chloe gets some play in the show.

While I'm not crazy about Lex/Lana, their parts in the story was well done for once, and Lana owned up to some of her issues, which is unusual. The final Oliver Queen shot where he shot the arrow through the soda tab was just plain awsome.

The villian did die kinda anti-climatically but hey, what'cha gonna do?

Like Boomster said, if the writing of the season is even close to what is has been these three episodes, it might finally beat out season three as my favorite season. Great episode in my book.

Plus it's nice to see "Dark Thursday" still having fallout, good continuity.:woot:

I think Lana is just a character that is set up to be tragic. And I have alot more thoughts about it that I'll share later when I come back. :yay:

You just kinda mirrored my thoughts after watching it last night.

You know what they say about great minds. Which is why Triplet hasn't a prayer in the world domination game.:wow: :cwink: :ninja:

The Poison Ivy rip-off villian annoyed me

1. No BATMAN to Battle Ivy's vines and plants

2. The way she died was so cheap .

Way to go smallville

I was thinking the same thing. This was Pamela Isley....right down to the red hair. :whatever:

Eh he seemed smoother than Wayne when he was going after Lois. Reminded me of the comic.

I see the similarity also, I was just messing with you.:cwink:

Truth be told, my step-dad, who had, growing up, collected DC comics; said that Oliver Queen in the beginning was very Bruce Waynish, so he could see why they would portray him like that. So who knows....:oldrazz:

LOL! :woot:

You and I share very dissimilar thoughts about Lana. I thought she looked cheap and trashy.

lol he doesn't need to be like his comicbook counterpart, you always gotta repeat the same **** to some people, this is SV, anything is possible, & like Brainiac 8 said, similarties between the 2 always existed, so **** about it.
