lol clark probably has a box full of bouncy balls for the whole season, one for each day of the week

This is the second time they've riffed off that particular cliché, though it's a good one. The first time was in Pariah after Alicia was offed. It's a subtle homage to Steve McQueen in The Great Escape. McQueen of course played the "Cooler King" in the film. He was the loner that tried everything to escape Stalag Luft III, but was one of the very few left bouncing his baseball against the wall in the end, alone, just like Clark in a metaphoric way.

Folks need to give the SV writers a little more credit, I think. There's a LOT of stuff hidden under the surface of all the angst and romantic entanglements (no pun intended.)

I guess all of the special F/X budget has been spent this quarter.

I don't want to go all season watching Clark mope around. That's one reason alot of people didn't like a certain movie.

Ollie's costume was awesome,they should have stuck with that instead of the leathered up design.

I found the story weak as hell.

Clark kent has officailly [as of the end of wither] become a pathetic character. He desparetly hits on a park ranger, who turns out to be a alien plant that just happens to look like a human. He seems to be alittle jealous and uncomfortable with Jimmy and Chloe romance, he seemingly has no personal or soical life. He now spends his nights bouncing a ball in his barn, while everyone else is living their life.The clark kent character is going backwards not forwards.

This episode left much to be desired, IMO. Plant girl was hot, but her death scene was shorter than Gary Coleman. Mostly soap opera stuff this ep, and Clark being a lonely boy is kind of annoying. Ah well, next week looks to kick some buttox.

Look deeper. The writers are showing us the sacrifices Clark will make as he travels down the path to becoming Superman - the world's greatest hero. That scene of him alone at the end was very purposeful.

I'll be honest, I'm glad Clark is alone, It's time for me to do some presonal soul searching on his own. [Jonathan's not their to go for advice] [Jor-EL is leaving his son alone for now.] and the rest are involed in relationship [Lois & Oliver], [Chloe & Jimmy], [Lionel & Martha {Creepy as hell}] and finally [Lex & Lana]. He needs to find his place in the world as an adult .

Am I the only one disappointed that Plant Girl did not interact with Oliver ? Justin & Plant Girl was good in the Aquaman Pilot

I don't think it's jealously, moreso than just plain awkwardness seeing Chloe with a guy, period.
