Nicely done, B8. It helps that I'm pretty much in agreement with most of what you wrote.

For whatever reason though, that site is always messed up in format for me, whether I use IE or Firefox. But I'm still able to read your reviews, so it's all good.

It's too bad they don't have a contact email linked to your name; then you could get some feedback. I skimmed that other reviewer there "Cindy" and I thought she gave some good unbiased comments too.

Thanks Serene and Avid.

For some reason they got really backed up and didn't get the reviews up till tonight. I'm hoping they get put up quicker for the next ones.

I am in lue of trying to get a contact added on so I can get feedback. If you want to leave me feedback that's a little more in depth, just let me know and I'll give it to you.

Good reviews. I enjoyed reading them.

I completely agree with the sillines of the Kryptonite wonder drug.

I think you missed one thing though.

The single stupidest moment this season (and maybe ever).

Oliver knocking a speeding bullet of it's trajectory with an arrow.

My god that was moronic. Knocking the gun out of his hand would have been perfect. To try to increase tension by having him shoot a travelling bullet with an arrow is so ridiculous it made feel stupid for even watching.

My apologies if this already came up earlier in the thread.

Weeeeelllllll... yeah, it's stupid in the "real" world, but honestly, there's "stupid" stuff in every episode if you analyze it too deeply. Every time Clark superspeeds, the ground should be shredded like paper. Physics is the LAST thing people should be concerned with while watching SV. Tethered helicopters, anybody? LOL!!

[ducks and runs]

Seriously though, I think we'll be getting into a lot more comic book-y type themes post Dark Thursday. Zod's worldwide damage makes for a good divisional point since reality took a final turn into the surreal. The idea that *this* Clark Kent would actually don a red cape and boots in public (LOL) isn't so unrealistic anymore because it's not just Smallville that's bizarre at this point; it's the whole world. ;)

While I agree in the real world it was silly, if you take the way comics work and the physics behind them, Green Arrow does this kind of sillyness in the comics all the time.

You just have to step out of your literal mind for a moment, and take it for what it is, a show based on a comic book which is based off fantasy. That way it's not so bad. Plus it made for a real neat effect, that's why it didn't bother me.:oldrazz:

Yeah I know... :(

I still think no matter how ridiculous or outlandish a super hero's powers are( in a movie or show), it always works best if you try to have as much as possible grounded in reality. Since Oliver's only a human, I was hoping he'd at least show some marginal respect for kindergarten level physics.

Plot holes and kryptonite silliness drive me nuts on this show, but it's Superman so I have to watch. Every now and then there is a great moment. It's those fleeting moments of brilliance that keep me watching.

I actually liked this show but the story for me came at little a late. Certain parts don't seem to fit in with what has been established in the past. For example, in Season 3 Lex loses it with Perry White, this sudden out burst scares him into couselling, but with what happened to Duncan why would it shock him, he's done it before?

Lionel Luthor working with Ducan fits him, but not for ten years it was established that he only started such experiments after he found out about his liver disease, it doesn't make sense that he would do this beforehand, unless he was genuine?

I find it hard to believe that Lex would never have spoken to Clark about Duncan, he spoke of Julian even when he thought he killed him.

What I did like was the "******ed" line from Lois but also the look Clark gave her earlier when she said that she was going to work on the story anyway.

I liked Lex's reaction to Clark when he came to visit.

And I'm really liking Ollie, how long is he scheduled to be on the show, I don't read spoliers so if anyone can gave me the number of shows he is set to appear.

Its quite possible that Lex felt that he had control of his temper, and when he had his outburst with Perry it freaked him out so much that he sort help from a Psychiatrist.

I think it was established in the Season 1 episode Jitters, that Lionel had been working with meteor rocks for some time. If you remember Earl was a cleaner on Level 3 and he suffered from kryptonte exposure due to an explosion in the Lab.

His last appearance is scheduled for episode 11, Justice.

i loved this episode. i think the whole reversal as lex being the good kid and ollie being a bully is interesting. i loved the close up of ollie after the crash-thats the moment he changed. That song when GA is firing his arrow and clark catches it is too good but i can't find it anywhere- hoping it will be on a new smallville soundtrack

Bump for avid. ;)

Thanks Cmill. Ya know the only thing I had wrong in my search was that I had 6.06 instead of 6.05 and yet I set it to search for words that may fit that description. Whatever!! :csad:

Anyway, I was watching this episode last night and I realised that the Lex/Duncan relationship actually paralleled the Lex/Clark relationship.

In both cases Lex has latched on to the simple, not overly wealthy, but well intentioned and considerate person. An outsider.

Lex turned on Duncan when Duncan wouldnt play along with Lex's methods of gaining the upperhand and control of the schoolyard.

I think the writers were telling us that this is exactly what would have happened if Clark hadnt wisened up to Lex before he did, as has been purported by the stories of Naman/Sageeth and Warrior Angel/Devilicus.

This along with "Combat" was one of those episodes where going in I wasn't expecting much, but it actually turned out to be a darn good episode. A great way to add some depth to Oliver and to tie his existence on the show with Lex's past and how Oliver's actions were one of the many causes in Lex's evolution into what he is today.

You're not one of those that believes Lex is who he is because of the way everyone else was around him.

Oliver: Same ol' Lex, blaming everyone else for his problems.

Lex: Only when its their fault.

No, moreso Lex's reactions to the things around him have put him in the position he's in.

and then, he *****es adn moans about how people have been dihonest to him and he does the same.
