As for the 33.1 comment, c'mon do the writers really think us viewers have that bad of a memory, we needed to be reminded of the "fake floor" every episode now? Besides, Lionel already told Lex that 33.1 was moved, we know that 90% of what Lex says to Lana is a lie. I wish the writers would watch some more TV and find out how a good TV show is written, look at Supernatural, Veronica Mars, Heroes, 24. C'mon give your viewers the benefit of the doubt that maybe they don't need to be spoonfed anymore. The best part of the Lex doesn't lie to me line was Lana has already caught Lex in several lies, but just puts her fingers in her ears and starts yelling "I can't hear you! I can't hear you!" whenever he catches him rather than actually admitting the person she's dating is lying to her, it's denial of the worst order.

I thought the scene with Lex walking through level 33.1 was pretty cool. So I don't mind being spoon fed to that.:cwink:

And I don't want Smallville to be like any other show thats on T.V., it's fine the way that it is.

It would've been much cooler with some revised John Williams music, the pop-rock music killed the scene for me. It also would've been better if done at the end of Static, after denying to Lana 33.1 ever existed.

The John Williams score would have been out of place since it was Lex's scene.

I agree whole heartedly.:woot:

I haven't watched the movie in a while, but there had to be a sinister Lex Luther theme, the pop-rock stuff didn't work at all for me.

I don't know,I liked the music that they used when Lex was walking.
I guess to each its own.:yay:

Only that goofy music that they had going with Otis.

And I do think the audience needs reminders of plots. Most of them arent on line like the rest of us discussing this stuff all the time.

That's right. We are of a different breed.:cwink:

Amazing Fantasy types music to my ears!

Why because it was sunny, do you assume that it was hot?

No, because the corn was more than six feet tall....

It doesn't get that big until the end of summer, or the beginning of fall. In December, the fields should have been cleared of the corn since they harvest sometime in the fall....

It's obviously out of order...

Yup. My point exactly. GMTA, trip.

the episode isn't on limewire yet:( there was one but it turned out to be reunion. Is it worth getting annoyed over?

I enjoyed it. :yay:

For as much as I was worried about this episode it ended up being quite good, and dealt with a decent subject.

As I noted in a subsequent post, I have no clue about these things. :O

I didn't think very much of this episode; I thought it was so-so.

more like is it worth getting a virus over? Limewire? sheesh, you couldnt expose your computer to more of a risk if you tried. You're just asking to download fetish porn or something. Use Bittorrent, it's like 100 times faster and you dont have to deal with the pervs

Hmm. Not such a great one, as I suspected. Still, Tom Welling, always a pleasure to look at. Lol. But seriously, it was nice to see so many Clark scenes. And I mean the sheer amount! After 'Static', we were seriously deprived.

But it was kinda boring, IMO. Very slow. I'm not very fond of the Lex/Lana couple thing, so that got a little tedious. And Chloe was sort of annoying with her ''define boyfriend'' comment. Didn't she call Jimmy her ''wayward boyfriend'' in 'Fallout', or was it 'Static?' One of these eps. That irritated me for some reason. Sometimes I get the feeling Chloe is not being entirely honest, re: her relationship with Jimmy. And I'm not sure why that is, but I dont like it. It doesn't speak too well of her to do so, IMO.

But Jimmy was cute, had some funny lines. And that last shot of Lex in 33.1 was pretty amazing.

But the trailer! Now that was the real highlight.

you need to keep in mind that this episode was shot and supposed to air right after Arrow. So all of the stuff that happened in Static is a moot point as far as that is concerned. The 33.1 thing at the end wouldve had a heck of a lot more impact had it aired before Static because that was the first we would've seen it since Jinx in Season 4. I'm not sure how exactly that was "spoonfeeding" us snce it's been over 2 seasons since it's had a mention? Sometimes in TV production, **** happens and you just have to make the best of it. At least they had the decency not to ignore the Lex/Lana cliffhanger from Static and shot new scenes to put into this episode that dealt with that.

Honestly, I think that was another victim of the episode moving. If this had aired earlier in the season, it would have made more sense because they weren't officially a couple. Besides, the events of "Wither" were still fresh in everyone's minds (which explains why Jimmy's reasons for Chloe moving to Metropolis were chicks who sprout vines and homocidal farmers, and not, say, a grueling daily six-hour commute).

Also, Jimmy is still clearly courting Chloe. By "Static," they have a much more defined relationship.

Soooooooo true. Agreed wholeheartedly. And if you look at the way the "33.1" was revealed on the swinging door, it's so obvious that's what they were trying to do. Seriously, like I said in my review, if this show had aired when it was supposed to, it would have bumped up at least two points for me.

Ooohhh... TWOP's Omar is none-too-pleased with this week's Smallville:

Omar G. said:
How not to do an episode of Smallville that has to do with illegal immigration: have all the laborious field work immigrants do in Kansas taking place in the dead of December. Hire an actor for the sympathetic lead role as a kid just off the coyote truck, looking for his mom, who sounds like he was born and raised in Ohio and whose Spanish is worse than when Professor SoFine or Lex have spoken the language. The kid, Javier (who claims he learned English watching American TV, presumably for about fifty years), is part of a group of laborers at a Smallville farm who are being exploited because of their undocumented status. Javier runs away, and his friend is eaten by some sort of giant Tremors creature, it seems, as they try to escape. Javier takes refuge at the Kent Farm, and Clark, who considers himself to be the illegal immigrant, tries to help. MamaKent balks at the idea, but eventually wants to help. Long episode short, the owner of the slave labor farm is a moleman (yes, a man who is like a mole) who can dig through the Earth, saving lots of money on tractors. With the help of Token Hispanic Immigration Officer who is on a bloodthirsty hunt for one undocumented immigrant (only 11,999,999 to go!), Clark figures out the crime and puts a stop to Farmer Moleman's reign of terror. Sadly, no one is available to stop the reign of terror inflicted by the script. In other plots, Lex still doesn't have an answer to his marriage proposal, but he flies Lana to Amsterdam to check out an art exhibit. She's wowed by the perks of livin' large, and decides that she and Lex could do a lot of good in the world. She decides to help the undocumented immigrants. She visits with Clark, who sort of calls her Lex's puppet, and she is suitably angry. Jimmy tells Clark that, with regard to Chloe, he's a "bro, not a foe," which veers dangerously close to Michael Richards territory. Lex walks through what looks like a bad music video as he puts Farmer Moleman into Level 33.1. Stay tuned for a full recap, where I'll rip this one a new dirt hole. Señor.

Yikes!

Hopefully for the DVD the episodes are put in the right order

Ya know I'm over everybody complaining about the lack of a Mexican accent. Did everyone that was on that submarine in Hunt for Red October have a Russian accent?

Did you notice they cut right to Clark walking through the door, when she said that? They're really not letting that ship die.
