Still beaming from my experience last night. This prologue, trailer, and everything surrounding seem to be our Xmas gifts :woot:
And like a greedy child, I want more!
Have you seen the trailer? Have you submitted a description by any chance?

Was looking at the pictures of the plane shoot from May/June in the photo thread. Very cool to see the finish product and see how they filmed it. May give clues to other pictures in that thread. Has anyone checked them out?

You know, I may recant my statement where I said I wouldn't want to spend money just to see the prologue. The bootleg made me crave it.

Wow, just finished reading everyone's comments (took a long time) while listening to Zimmer's Time music. A shame that I won't see this in IMAX since I personally can't even handle regular cinema screens.

I'm glad that you all enjoyed it. This is gonna be really mind-blowing for me! I really enjoyed almost everybody's comments and just want to thank the people who made them. Just got me even more hyped for the trailer.

When Bane says short sentences, it is really easy to hear what he says. (ex. crashing this plane). However, when he says those longer sentences, it becomes a lot tougher to hear what he says. (ex. Perhaps he's wondering why you would shoot a man, before throwing him out of a plane.)

I can detect that tendency with the longer sentences, yeah..
I personally had no trouble understanding him. The fact I was aware of the dialogue before viewing may have contributed to that, but really I didn't find him difficult to understand in any case.

As it was mentioned they would be cleaning things up a bit in the editing process, i'm sure any issues will be covered. There's not much needed to alter that for those who find it a bit of a strain to understand him at all times.

Me too. I.. can't... stop.. viewing the bootleg prologue.

I'll get up and leave as soon as it's done or if I'm in the mood I'll catch MI4. I have an IMAX theater right near me in West Nyack, NY so why not right?

Yeah, totally agree.

I read somewhere that Nolan made him sound hard to hear so that people would listen.

I'm super confident the plane (and it's noise) has more to do with it than Bane himself, because some of the CIA guy's dialogue I could barely hear as well, and he was basically screaming the whole time. (By the way I think we have our new "irritating" dialogue secondary guy, in the same class with BB's "It's gonna blow" guy & TDK's "we'll be like Turkeys on Thanksgiving" SWAT guy lol. Nolan knows how to pick um')

Yeah, probably so in this sequence. Noticing the noise of the plane, I was on some alert to focus into the voices more intently so as to avoid the environmental noises inhibiting the dialogue.

Lol, I thought I would find CIA guy more amusing after reading all of these descriptions on the forum about his ridiculousness.. really I didn't even take much notice of that as I was so into the moment. Totally seems to have been "that guy", though.

Me too, but I didn't with those other two goofs either, until further, repeated viewings, where it starts to grate on you more and more. But the scene is so breathtaking, I'll manage :cwink:

Despite struggling to understand Bane (thanks again for the transcript), there's a musicality to his voice I quite like; similar in approach to Joker in The Dark Knight.

CIA guy's attitude reminded me William Fichtner with all yelling and cocky attitude in Dark Knight.

Littlefinger was perfect casting for a cocky & irritating agent.
