I gotta say, Nolan's movies at least make sense, unlike transformers 3. It was more like a DP reel than an actual movie with a script.

I consider the transformers franchise to be eye candy. I dont dislike them, but i'm not crazy about them either. With that being said, I fell asleep off and on during transformers 2 for the entire second half of the movie. It felt like it was 5 hours long.

As someone who was here around the time of Spider-Man 1, nothing annoyed me more than gloating Spider-Man fanboys who were high on the fact that their hero made 400 mill dollars, meanwhile Batfans were still living with the shame of Batman and Robin....so I really dont care to brag about being at "the top of the food chain".

Haha, well im pretty pumped up after watching the prologue and the new trailer. Besides, i could care less about the Box office results. After Avatar became the highest grossing movie in history, i stopped caring about the BO. Nolan's batfilms speak for themselves. And now, The legend is about to end in this one. July couldnt get here sooner!

As far as cgi in Nolan's Batman movies, i gotta say the helicopter crashing scene from TDK was really the only thing I didn't like about it and was clearly cgi while flying and crashing down. Hopefully the football field shot from TDKR will look better

Same here! That heli crash was pretty crappy CGI. I also didn't like the Batpod up the wall scene. I even don't know if it was CGI or not but to me it looked terrible (and yet people cheered in the theater. ????)

Transformers 3 was awesome due to ILM's marvelous CG work.

I'm pretty sure the batpod up the wall scene was CGI. If it wasn't, then i'm sure they have some pretty hilarious outtakes. Poor stunt guy.

She clearly isn't Catwoman the female sidekick/heroine/love interest.
She still could be those things...to Batman. She's antagonizing Bruce Wayne in the trailer, as it should be if she doesn't know his identity. I think she'll start off as a threat/wild card and end up as an ally. Again, as it should be, imo.

That trailer was probably the best I've seen for any film in this series. It's that "end is near" vibe combined with the chanting that just adds a whole other level epicness, lol.

I love that it uses entirely different footage than the prologue. Makes for a whole lotta footage to savor...which is good because I think it's the last we'll be seeing for SEVERAL months (I'm guessing that the inevitable 30-second Superbowl spot will be a new edit that mostly combines footage from the two...with maybe one or two quick new shots thrown in).

The helicopter flying and maybe crashing as it did was probably CGI. I do know they burnt out an actual copter on the ground. Have no idea if they made it tumble like it did.

The Batpod up the wall I heard was real, but if so, they had to have sped up the film and helped it somehow.

The Batwing looked great as well. Sure, it will all look a bit CGI but this is a comic movie afterall. Glad to see Nolan going back to the comicbook world after the police drama that TDK turned into.

Agreed, this is exactly how I feel things will develop - and to reverberate, should develop. (I do believe the spy pics/info we've gotten points to that as well). It'll be a fantastic progression to watch.

I couldn't really tell in the prologue, but did catwoman have anything extra (costume wise) that we haven't seen before? Unfortunately my showing was at one of the Dome IMAX theaters. I missed quite a bit.

Come on folks.....don't start down that road of - Let's be as offensive as we can and insult large segments of the worlds population.

I'd hate to half ban another dozen people or so tonight.

No, it was a closeup shot of her in the outfit we've been seeing her wear in the spy pics.

I won't even go into it, played all 4 years in high school and I sweat and bled with my teammates/now friends...but if you don't like football, I do question your manhood.
Well good, I hate football but I'm female, so it all works out. :woot:

That said, I like having it in the movie. There's an..."Americana" vibe it brings that's been absent from the films thus far, if that makes any sense. I mean, I don't think we've ever seen the regular residents of Gotham just relaxing and enjoying themselves before the bad guy ruins their fun (rich people dinner parties don't really count), so it adds a nice bit of slice-of-life world-building to the TDK universe, imo.

Yeah, ever since I heard Catwoman would be in this movie, I've been looking forward to seeing what take Nolan & Co would have on the character, because I knew it would be completely unlike her other screen incarnations. I've been crossing my fingers for a more comics-accurate take on the character ever since I read Ed Brubaker's Catwoman stories, and based on everything we've seen thus far, I really think that's what we're getting, or something pretty damn close. I'm SO excited to see how her story unfolds in this movie.

Wow, Spideyfan assumed you were a guy despite your username. I find his comment rather offensive though. There is no correlation between football and manliness. He better knock it off.

Im really not seeing these Michael Bay comparisons at all, it seems most think hes the only director that loves huge action scenes with lots of destruction and explosions.

It's hard to think of two more dissimilar directors than Michael Bay and Christopher Nolan.

Oh no, sorry if I offended people. I'm very sensitive with that subject.

But it's going to be a sick scene regardless. Can't wait to watch Steelers players die.

I really want to know if Bane literally murders Ward with his bare hands. It would be a pleasure to watch him die brutally instead of being shot or something.

We all know he's dead meat after that ****. I'm sure NFL fans will love seeing him perish lol...especially me.

Just some of the longer action takes and camera angles. There isn't as much overwrought camera movement though. Nolan can keep that in check. :funny:
