I believe Sony look closely to the fans,so they should definitely get the picture of what we want and dont want.

I think they will have learnt from their mistakes.

And I certainly hope so Rodrigo. I'm wary of studio's. After reading about some of the ideas WB went through before they finally settled on Batman Begins makes me think that Studios really don't understand, or care, what the fans or audience wants. They just keep chucking different ideas at the wall and hope that one sticks.

I also hope we don't get a The Incredible Hulk situation. Hulk was poorly received, so with TIH, they were scared to do too much of the slower, character building scenes.

Some of the things about the original Spidey series were very good, I don't want them to ignore everything the past series did. I also don't want them to make this a complete, 100% Ultimate adaptation too.

Honestly, they need to call up Greg Wiesman.

im only saying this wrong becuase the way it is beingstated as fact, when it is an opinion

i find both Universes equal in quality and they have ups and downs. the perfect blending of these and other realities could result in a very very good movie

That's what I've been saying. Which is why I reference SSM so often. It had (in my opinion) pretty much the perfect blend of 616/Ultimate. And I see no reason why we can't get that.

I would certainly be annoyed to see the next movie go completely Ultimate. Hulk Goblin is not a good way to go.

Yeah, I know its considered heresy, but I like the Ultimate universe....Hulk Goblin was ******ed though. The 616 universe is better though, except the last few years have been a little weird. The whole Mephisto thing...

People have been a bit harsh on USM lately. But to be honest, it's still my favorite Spider-man series out there right now. To be fair, I haven't read a whole lot of 616 since BND happened, but even though USM has things I disagree with, I'll take Hulk Goblin and Ockneto over Mephisto the home wrecker any day.

USM had some great, GREAT ideas. And it had some of my favorite arcs. The first few volumes were really good. USM Ock (until the whole Ockneto thing) was amazing. USM Kingpin was great too. And Bendis really nailed bringing Peter's character to a modern generation, and really capturing how kids in our generation talk and interact.

That's why I hope Sony is smart enough to take the good and the bad, instead of going "well, Raimi was more normal Spider-man, let's switch COMPLETELY to this Ultimate thing!" Mix and match for the best recipe. Or just sit them down and make them watch Spectacular Spider-man. Though that wasn't perfect (Kitty-Kraven was a bad idea in USM, and it wasn't any better in SSM).

Haha! I love Stan, but I don't know if I'd want him playing Uncle Ben. It's hard for me to look at Stan and see anyone but Stan, and he's too old now. Also, while I love the guy, I'd want a better actor handling the Ben role.

Another plot point could come from May not coping with Ben's death well.

(The good old movie tradition) Have her watch a video recording of the party,where we see Richard, Mary, Ben and May interacting with good old Stan,haha. Then having Peter even more upset,and worried even more about his aunt.
