Agreed! Those are two excellent examples, and one's I overlooked. I'm stuck in S7.I think SV has gone outside the lines a few times, but certainly not to the extent that X-Files (or even Buffy) did. Promise was extremely well constructed and executed with the different perspectives being offered. I think too many people couldn't see past the storyline to see the really excellent episode that it was on so many levels. Noir was another exercise in alternate story-telling that I thought they did a beautiful job in delivering. Again, I think too many SV fans have really narrow expectations for every episode and when the story deviates from that, they pan the episode, and overlook that in and of itself, it may have been a fantastic episode.
Can we pleeeeeze have more of that? Pretty please?
