8.06 - Prey - Discussion Thread (Spoilers)

Here`s what I`m thinking. This is the first episode in which we`re propely introduced to what actually happens when Davis has one of his blackouts.
I doubt we`ll see Doomsday himself, but possibly a part of him, and a lot of noise, for sure. And most likely one of his victims.
I doubt they`ll have Clark confront Doomsday so soon. They said Doomsday was a storyline centered throughout the season. Allthough a fight now, where Clark looses BADLY, would be very interesting.

I dont think Doomsday is going to be like the Hulk where he fully transforms back and forth between the man and the monster. I think he's going to gradually change over to be the monster and once he becomes the monster, he's no longer a man. Sort of like Abomination from the Hulk comics.

that can work if they show juts glipmse of his monster side like his hand smashing something or his back or even glimpse oif his spikes

that won't be had for them to do but i doubt that this will hapenne

probably they are saving monster look of doomsday for last few episodes of the series

what i wuld like to see davis bloome saying "i enjoy hurting people" "i love to destroy things and it is like hate is consuming me "

this will be intresting if davis bloome says something like that

Agreed.

I never got the impression that he would be like the Hulk but more of a mutation over time due to whatever was done to him. I think they are going for a loss of humanity/tragic story with him.

That`s the key word. I don `t think he`ll fully transform either until the final battle either, but I do believe that during some of his blackouts where he switches to doomsday, that he will be physically amplifyed somehow. A small spike or two in each hand or something like that, small stuff that will quickly disappear as he`s turning back to davis, which will leave him clueless as to what`s happening.

I gotta say, I`m REALLY looking forward to seeing this. I`m liking what I'm hearing about their plans for Doomsday.

i have to say good thing they signed SW for doomsday role because he seems like fit for this role

i have seen him in the mist and dexter and i must say the guy knows intense acting

1st i was worried they are gonna sign some juts another male model for thsi role who can't act but now i m looking forward to davis bloome storyline

seems like darkest speisode of the seseaon YET

maybe this is where they start shoing davis bloome's doomsday sides and those victims are his preys

i think this is where thsy will bring clark "try to look good inside of everyone" angle

they can have clark try to help davis bloome because he knoows about his blackouts and clark thinks whatever davis is doing is not him its is the monster inside him

clark will think about lex and how he gave up on him easily so despite davis bloom'es blackouts and his killings clark will try to help him to recover from his blackouts but in the end it will be to little to late for him and irnonic thing is the guy clark was trying to help will kill him someday

i think this what SW was talking about clark and davis's comeplex freindship

there are rumours that this epiesode suppse to have big fight between davisbloome/his doomsdayside and clark and brawl is suppsed to last 20 minutes
