UPDATED 10/30/08: Title Posted. Please do not repost this on other websites without a link to KryptonSite.com.
- There are some revelations about where Lana has been between the Season 7 finale and her return in "Bride."
- Only three series regulars (plus Lana) appear in this episode.
- This episode is directed by Allison Mack (Chloe).

Ugh... can a mod help me with the number? its not 7 its 13.. thanks

Interesting...I actually am interested in finding out where Lana has been hiding. I'm sure it has to do with that secret her and Oliver are keeping from Clark.

What "Power" are they talking about here? I bet Clark learns to fly in this episode, but they just don't want to spoil it. :)

Ive always figured Lana and Ollies secret has to do with Tess. Thats what they both have in common.

Clarks Power? maybe flight... or... Power Girl..

i hope its him flying but it could be a more metaphorical power like power through money and such.

The power of who or what? Sounds interesting. :word:

I don't think they'd let a first time director handle such an epic moment...maybe its just a freak like that livewire chick or something

interesting spoilers, i cant wait to see how this turns out. Also i hope allison does well as a director.

many people think topic suggeste clark's power but i think episode has to do with davi bloome/doomsday

maybe his incredible power which matches clark's power

also i remember AM said that her directorial episode will be quite dark and full of action

she is also watching TDK so she can take some inspiration ffrom that

You remind me of the babe, What babe?, the babe with the power, what power?, the power of voodoo, who do?, you do, do what?, remind me of the babe.

Sorry the title got me into Labyrinth mode. It's passed now :woot:

Steve

Ooo sounds interesting, hope its flight...FINALLY :D

Flight? Where? What part? All I see with those sides is a great big break being applied to the forward progression of this season, not to mention a retcon of Lana's goodbye video letter to Clark. So now we're to believe she recorded that at gunpoint?

Has Sweet imploded yet?

so they've crossed out a name and replaced it with smith. Who will bet that that is to prevent spoilers? Mr Luthor?

We know Lana isn't staying, I don't see what difference it makes. I thought it was weird she left him a dvd instead of saying it to his face, who does that?

I wasn't complaining about Lana coming back. I'm complaining about what they appear to be doing to her. Again.

She does. Whitney (video tape) and Lex (written letter.) It made sense to me given her past actions.

Either way, I can't see how Lana fans would find these spoilers appealing in any way, hence my quip about Sweet. But hey, maybe I'm wrong. We'll see.

Exactly. I don't get why people are getting their panties in a wad over Lana returning. She's NOT STAYING FOLKS.

The reactions from both sides (Lana-haters and Lana-lovers) is really a bit extreme. Every character has been shown to have progressed this season, hopefully we'll see the same in Lana.

She's back to wrap up her story with Clark and this show. I think she (and her fans) are due at least that. I'm kind of thrilled that they are cleaning up that stupid Dear John DVD with another explanation. It was a terrible send-off to her character.

Hopefully, her real send-off will be the bittersweet goodbye that her character and that relationship warrants.

Okay.. back to watching election results. :D

UPDATED 11/4/08: Some Luthorcorp experiments are being done involving Lana. Apparently these experiments are what is keeping her alive.
- Dr. Grohl (the scientist from "Arrow" and "Fallout" who was recently seen again in "Instinct") is involved with these experiments, which may also have ties to Project: Ares from previous seasons.
- The three series regulars to appear in this episode are Tom Welling (Clark), Allison Mack (Chloe), and Cassidy Freeman (Tess).

...Weird stuff. Episode certainly sounds... interesting.

Truthfully, though... this season has gotten me interested in the show again. Re-invested, to a certain degree. So, for now, I'll trust that this ret-conning and other strange nonsense will turn out to be interesting, engaging, and better for the show.

I agree.

Yeah... been going nuts between trying to work and updating CNN.com all. the. time.

Is this in partial response to my post? I've already explained that my complaint has NOTHING to do with Lana returning. In fact, I don't think I've made any comment about that aspect at all.

Here's my beef:

Retconning the faux circumstances for Lana's departure last season - as dumb as it was - means they have to go through yet another break-up/separation, All. Over. Again. Lets just pause for about five episodes as that plays out, 'cause you know they're gonna play that angle like a drum.

Second, Lana's return finds her at the mercy of Luthorcorp doctors, being poked and prodded with some bizarre medical procedure in order to keep her alive. Jeeze, I mean, come, on! Why don't they just impale her with a stake? Oh wait, the writers did that already. N'mind. I had hoped Lana's return would be less.... over-the-top. Oh well. Guess I should have known better. This is SV after all, and Lana is the official rag doll.

It's not just you, I've been hearing the yowls over Lana's return all over the place. ;) It's understandable for people who are loving SV this season more than ever.

I dunno. I think the new PTB will bend over backwards NOT to run the same endless maze with Clark and Lana that has been previously done to death. They seem pretty in tune with a lot of the fan negativity about Lana being the blame for "holding Clark back" (something I dispute in terms of laying the blame at solely at Lana's feet as if Clark never had any of his own will to exercise, but that's another line of beef. ;)). I think they will have to revisit the idea that Lana never stopped loving Clark - whether she left of her own will, or was forcibly taken away. With all that they've done with Clark's character in her absence though - Metropolis, working at the DP, his relationship with Lois - I can't fathom that there is any chance of going back to square one with his feelings for Lana. I'm willing to bet that we will see that play out too, as we really should.

I agree it's ridiculous that they are abusing her AGAIN, but I'm hoping that it's just a part of her splashy reintroduction and that her remaining storyline shows her having an awareness of the changes in Clark. She's always wanted the best for him, and I think she'll eventually put two and two together when it comes to Clark and his future.
