To bad clark looked like a 24 year old.:oldrazz:

A hot one so who cares?:)

At least he didn't accept the blame this time when Tess mentioned Lex, and i like that he told her he wasn't some problem to solve, he should have said that long ago to several people in his life.

They messed up Lana's story and now they are doing it to Chloe.

:-/

So after Jimmy leaves Chloe and expresses how her mistrust/lack of belief upset him... She finds out Davis is the killer and chooses to stay with him instead...?!

She should be begging her "husband" for forgiveness and assuring him she'll trust him completely. Infact she should promise she'll never even speak to that **** Davis. RIDICULOUS...

indeed, perhaps Chloe will be the victim of Clark's first heat vision lobotomy

Davis >>>>>>> Jimmy.

I'm sorry but Jimmy's a little prick.

^^ The "prick" risked his life to protect his wife, but it doesn't matter because the other guy looks "better", typical shipper shallowness, just sickening.

Call me a shipper again and I might just have to kill you. :oldrazz:

Davis is just a more interesting character. Pretty much since the moment he came on the show, Jimmy has been an annoying little *****. Plus, Jimmy has spawned some of the worst episodes in the entire series, that should really speak for itself...

I think Chloe is the one to blame in all of this for leading both men on. She's basically the new Lana.

Except that Chloe actually has a personality.

I kind of agree with that, since the very first time chloe met davis, she was clearly attracted to him.

I don't get this. When Lana does this, everyone despises her and says she should get killed off. But when Chloe does it, then there must be something wrong with Jimmy or somebody else...I don't understand the fans' loyalty to Chloe.

LOL thing with Lana is, she always needed a boyfriend, but the boyfirends tended to be maniacs or undead zombies.

...or someone just as stiff as her. *cough*Clark*cough*

SHIPPER! :hehe:

Lana and Chloe are both fickle, Chloe married a man she doesn't really love, is not sure about loving Davis either, is always preaching Clark but then hides a killing machine in the basement, etc. :whatever:

I really enjoyed this episode and I very much appreciated the way everything was nicely tied in to the show's own mythology. I was almost pleading for Clark to let Tess in on his secret, although I didnt quite like her mocking him for not telling her the truth, but I'm glad she finished with "you're not ready yet". I think he and her are going to become very close, maybe next season.

And I wonder if Tess's biology background will come in handy when it comes to helping Clark after his battle with Doomsday.

Chloe should have brought her bag of groceries down to the basement before she locked the door, 'cause I imagine that her and Davis might get a little hungry down there. Is she not going to leave that room now?

And thank you James Marshall for getting Allison Mack out of whatever acting slump she was in, 'cause I thought she was terrific in this episode and I haven't thought that for a long time.

Chloe still annoys me though when people are trying to give her advice, she can certainly dish it out but she cant take it.

I'm starting to get very worried for a Clark and I think
that he is the one that Ausiello is referring to, regardless of whether he says the death will stick. Chloe will still be around next season.

Lana is a repeat offender on the show. She slept with Clark's enemy and is over-dramatic.

Chloe has been his best friend since they were kids and has always been there for him.

Another "okay" episode, but nothing special, and it had a few issues. I wasn't a big fan of the Veritas storyarc to begin with, but if you're going to retcon something, at least cover all of your bases. For example, Doomsday wasn't there when Lionel and Lex touched the Kuwatchi dagger. If nether Luthor was Sageeth, the knife wouldn't have been destroyed.

I thought that at first as well, but then I did think they had kind of covered their bases during the episode of Talisman. Clark did tell Martha and Jonathan that there were no written interpretations of the myth and that it had just been handed down from generation to generation. So I suppose, if you felt so inclined, you could argue that anyone who was a threat to Naman would disintegrate the knife when they touched it.

Secondly, how could Clark have dreams as a child about his spaceship or how he was found? Jonathan told Clark about it when Clark was a teenager.

He might have had the nightmares but was unable to make sense of them until later, when as a teenager Jonathan told him about the spaceship. They have made mention of his nightmares in earlier seasons.

Another thing I loathe is clips' episodes.

I do too for the same reasons as you, but I really liked these ones because they went all the way back to Season One. I just felt very nostalgic and kind of proud that our little show is still here 8 seasons later.

:yay:

yeah, that really annoys me too. Throughout season 7, Clark tried to give her advice about her meteor power but she would always brush it off and continued to give Clark advice.

For the most part, I really enjoyed this episode. Sam was tons of fun to watch, as was Cassidy. I think Sam and both women play off one another well. Too bad Davis has to be full of evil, as it'd be fun to watch him hook up with Chloe - or Tess - or both, at some point.

To that end, and using supposed spoilers dropped in the various threads, the following is what I could see them doing for the season finale. Not all are my ideas, though I don't remember seeing this combination together. I'll use SPOILER + BLACKOUT tags just to play it safe.

Actually, to play it safer, I'm moving the speculation to the 8.22 DOOMSDAY thread.

Go there to find this.

I'm the only one who didn't like that they changed the design for Clark's ship? I just hate when they do that. Just like when the changed how the ship's "heart" looked. But the episode was still great. And at first I didn't like that they changed little Lex in the cornfield but when I saw that they had new scenes with him I understand why.
And where did Davis' "pod" come from?

I really loved this episode! I haven't love an episode this much since maybe even season six!

Actually the ship looked exactly the same way it did in the pilot episode, didn't see a difference? Also, Davis' genetic matter was attached to Clark's ship (like Foara and Brainiac said) and probably fell off after it landed.

yea i thought it was neat they tried to make the crash site ship look like how it was that crappy looking design from the pilot episode before it was changed in the first ryan episode.

All i have to say about this is that Smallville is ****ing up Superman's story more and more every episode that comes on TV. WB is just clueless about making a Superman story that acutally makes sense. This episode was just ****ed up in many ways.

Great, reall f-ing nice. Doomsday a little emo b**ch Hulk wanne be. Lametastic.

Episode was ok, everyone seems to have high expectations for the Clark vs Doomsday fight when in reality its probably going to be a huge let down. Doomsday throws 3 punches and throws Clark through the Barn, Clark is down and nearly beaten and then Clark brings out a weapon that can harm Doomsday and then traps him in some weird made up Smallville alien world. I am sure its going to be something like that, also I am not liking the relationship between Bruce and Betty/Davis and Chloe. It might just be me but I don’t want to feel sorry for Doomsday when he finally gets beaten neither do I want to relate with him. Judging from this episode it seems they are aiming for the whole tragic angle in regards to Davis and Clark and I just dont like it at all
