9.02 - Metallo - Discussion Thread (Spoilers)

It was so fairly obvious that Lois was gonna get knocked out just before Clark came. It's happened so many times over the years. It was nice to see Clark use some of his other powers in a fight that just his strength. We normally don't get to see him use heat vision, x-ray vision and super breath much in a fight.(I would love to see them use more of these down the stretch).

Tonight is a good night saw a great episode of smallville and me and some friends are going to see zombieland.

Um, is it just me or was Tess subtly hitting on Lois? The peeps on the Kryptonsite board seem to think so.

oh i brought it up here to at the start of the episode.

it was in Craig's review of Metallo. They were pretty flirtatious with each other.

Oh, well I guess I'm not reading things into it then .Lol. So, Tess digs her then? Not that i'm complaining.

if anything were to happen, it would be in offscreenville. :csad:

so does any one have a larger screen cap of the S shield shirt on the pole from lois's vision?

The whole flirtation thing seemed one sided to me. You easily could read into things with Tess, not so much with Lois though.

yea right now lois only has eyes for clarkie and the blur.

Nice episode, Smallville so far seem to atleast using their special effects budget well, can't remember the last time Clark used his heat vision.

The return of Shelby overshadowed BAG playing Metallo, as good as it was, to me. lol

So would Zod and his people really replace their hearts with kryptonite rock just to get their powers back? really?

BTW I was on Yahoos main page at 1:50 AM and was pleasantly surprised to see "Smallville Spoilers" as a top ten most searched word. Im actually shocked by this...

no no corben was a test to see if that would be a viable process.

Some caps from the ep

I gotta agree with you guys about the change in the feel of this show. My friend missed the first episode and asked what my opinion of it was before he had a chance to see it. We've both been watching since day 1 and the only way I could describe it to him was that it felt like a different show. Last season, even with all the doomsday stuff and so many pieces of the Superman story falling into place, I told him that this season right off the bat feels like less of "Smallville: The adventures of Clark Kent before he becomes Superman", and more like "Superman Begins"! This was another fantastic episode. This may very well be the best season yet. It won't be hard to outdo last season anyway. All they have to do is not bring Lana back!

...and not have a lame finale. But if this turns out to be the last season (though I hope it isn't if they can keep this up), I'm pretty sure we can bet on it not having a lame finale anyway!

anyone have a photo from early in the show of him Standing on the rooftop with the camera behind him. I thought that was a pretty sweet shot.

I enjoyed this ep! A lot of great visual moments. Lois is looking the best she ever has on the show (thank God they've really darkened her hair, love the colour and the styling/s). Nice to see more of her flashbacks to the future. That shot of the DP Globe down to Clark was wonderful.

And... Jor-El??

A bit predictable but I enjoyed the heck out of it.

Well just went to tvbythenumbers for the over night numbers. Even with the lost of the nyc market for mets game. Smallville did pretty well. A slight dip from premire numbers of 2.573(overall) metallo got overnight rating of 2.39. So thats good to hear.
