Nevermind. There's a red streak on the screen throughout the promo.

It is a black screenshot, which could mean this "Up in the Sky" comment could be a reaction to anything.

Yeah, Tess makes more sense saying that line actually. It's hard to tell given the video quality. The line before that sounds like Chloe too.

What are you talking about? A screengrab of what? There is nothing there, only audio.

The last shot before the Smallville on "S" logo shows a small red...something when the "Look, up in the sky" line is heard.

That's the light of the camera Binker, LOL! :D

You can see it right at the start too.

I keep hearing about this red streak in the vid, but doesn't it seem weird that the promo pics have Zod wearing a red shirt all of a sudden when he's been wearing all black like Clark ever since he got powers? Could it possibly be him?

On a side note: Didn't Eric (or whatever his name was) wear the exact same clothes, black jeans, red shirt and long black leather coat, back in season one when he got Clark's powers?

Digging the Space trailer! Hope the episode comes through with the action and story.

There. is. no. red. streak.

I will be pretty upset if the "Look, up in the sky!" line is just an unrelated cheat that's not in the episode. Pretty cheeky going to black on the line, I like it.

LOL sorry FAIL on me.. i posted that not knowing there was another page of posts ... but I was at K-site earlier and people were posting about it there too so i thought it was true.

I know what you mean.

Something about that audio bugs me. It sounds an awful lot like the old Fleischer cartoons and Reeves television opening. Hopefully though it's not and is new audio within the show to go along with Clark's future glimpse.

Everytime I see a Canadian promo for Smallville I get even more pissed at the CW

"Maybe your true destiny is to lead your own people"

Chloe Sullivan is clearly saying this...

Exactly. It's undeniably cool in the context of the spot. The timing is great, and, like I said, having it over black is even more teaser-ifically awesome. I just hope it's actually in the episode, and not just a big ol' (cluck-cluck) tease.

That would just be mean if it is.

I really can't wait for this finale the whole season feels like its been building up to one massive moment and I really really hope it is what we all want?!

I can't wait to see this, I'm actually more excited to see an unpowered slugfest between Zod & Supes as opposed to a superpowered superbrawl between Supes & Doomy for some reason.

Trailer looks outstandingly good. I'm liking how Zod has actually got to a point where he is impersonating Clark with a \S/ t-shirt

Question: Does it look like Callum Blue has abit of a beard in the last heat vision shot or is it just my eyes playing tricks on me?

2 days mofo's!

I hate that they've thrown in the line "look up in the sky" because now I can't help but feel excited that Clark might fly even though my head tells me he won't.. the gits know how to sell a trailer to hook Supes fans in don't they.. :D

Im excited as well, but still got to stay cautious. This is still Smallville, there is so much they can do, so go in with low expectations and you should be fine. I did that with Absolute Justice, and I thought it was Smallville best episodes all year.

Now K-site still has a spoiler that Clark gets a gift from an unexpected source. Im going with Tess gives him the BlueK dagger, so Zod won't have the advantage of flight once they fight....

Oh and those who want Zod being sent to the Phantom Zone. Im with you on it, just doesn't Zod now have Clarks blood in him, so wouldn't he be able to escape it with no problem?

What really worries me though is that they play the Superman Returns theme right after that line. There's no way that that's part of the episode and maybe even the promo.

Is it?

On my computer it definitely sounds like Chloe.

I find it unlikely Lois would be lecturing Clark on leading his own people.

Who said she's saying that to Clark? The trailer starts with Zod asking Lois for help, she's probably saying that to him.

The more I listen to it the more I'm convinced that it's not Chloe.

Space do that ALL THE TIME, and why would that worry you? Such an irrelevant thing lol.

Um, by "Superman Returns" theme, you mean the selection of the Superman "Main Title March," originally from "Superman: The Movie," right? Sorry, it's a technicality I just had to point out. I just feel that STM deserves that credit.

Well, if you've watched any of the Space promos for SV before, you know that they've been using that unmistakable \S/ background with their title cards for a long time, which is pretty much the opposite of CW's non-Superman-specific design for their (miniscule) marketing. It doesn't entirely surprise me that they used a bit of the "Main Title March" here. It doesn't surprise me, nor does it offend me. :)

Regarding the "Look, up in the sky" soundbite, upon listening to it a couple more times, it occurs to me that it could come from whatever they show of Zod's soldiers trying to take over the planet. The sound quality isn't great, but it sounds like there's crowd commotion in the background of whoever is delivering the dialogue. My guess, now, is that the line comes from a scene or montage showing the soldiers' worldwide efforts at conquest. There, it'll be a scene of destruction and panic. Here, along with the music selection, it has a more optimistic, much more enticing effect.

Fair enough, but it doesn't add up for me.

Why would Lois tell Zod that his "true purpose is to lead [his] own people?"

He already knows that and is doing that.

Before that line, you can hear a "crushing" sound, I don't know what that is.

The timing is key here. Who will Clark take care of 1st? Zod's soldiers or Zod himself? Does Clark fight Zod before or after he sees his destiny?
