smooth there is no reasoning to say right now what they are or arent going to do with darkseid. Now his minions granny/dasaad easy human forms so they can be done looking like humans as they are, and i bet they will be the main minions we will see. i bet a 7-13 episode deal for those minions. Then if we get his minions like kalibak/steppwolf these probably a good 2 or 3 episode deals. Then darkseid is the trick. If they did go human route which i would hate he could be around all season, if they go full on monster suit like doomsday and use it limited i would go with 2-3 episodes spread out across the season. Or if it ends up being someone like as man of tomorrow mentioned before in chris judge, if we put him in a costume like i mentioned in this thread and the season 10 spoilers/spec thread that covers arms/legs in some sort of armor costume it could work. Then wearing a helmet deal only showing face they can easily work on makup and glowing eyes and then if so i would put him being used more in a 7-12 episode deal. But going with human/boss darkside would just be a total waste.

Yes, it was. They pretty much made it clear.

No. That wasn't Jimmy in the 2013 scene.

Jimmy wasn't seen, only referred to when she yelled "Olsen"

The guy with the flowers was Jeff the Intern. He's appeared in previous episodes.

yea jimmy wasnt seen, that was just some regular office dude probably lois's assistant. jimmy was just called for but not seen. and if we go with young jimmy at least being 12ish at the end of last season. HE could be 13 this season, and in the 2013 scene be at least 16 maybe close to 17. And we know the DP does highschool interns since chloe did it yrs ago.

Wait. Is his credited name really 'Jeff the intern'?

That is HILLARIOUS.

****ing cliffhanger! :argh:

It was a good episode, liked the final fight, though the slowmo was kinda annoying. Again. At least it wasn't as bad as in the Tess slomwo fight when they caught Green Arrow. That was just all kinds of awful.

Soo... that Granny is rumored to be Granny Goodness? So those things after Arrow were probably Parademons I guess.

It's about Time :woot::woot::woot::woot:

Excellent episode!Much better than last year!Did anyone else notice that when Clark was falling his hair went right into the classic Superman curl? That was his transformation! My theory is MM removes BOR at Superspeeed and Clark flies straight up w/classic Superman hairstyle! He also had the S curls when he rescued Lois but there was no mistaking it!BTW Tess is signed for next season.:word:

While it stinks we have to wait 4 months. It seems like only yesterday the news was coming out of Comic Con about a new outfit and a JSA episode...Then we saw the first cellphone recordings of the season 9 trailer they aired (complete with the girl screaming)...And a glimpse of the black shirt with the S shield.

We're all gonna keep our eyes peeled for new promo shots of clark wearing the red/blue outfit this summer that's for damn sure.

Note that Clarks black and white suit has been completely destroyed. Slashed, torn, and full of holes.

He's going to need a new one...probably the one from the beginning of the episode.

To be clear, I never actually said that guy. My point was Jimmy Jr. still would be a bit young to be working at the Planet.

As if it's so difficult to get a new black shirt and paint a \S/ on it, as well as a black coat.

Would you buy a new shirt if you already have one that you just got?

This is what I believe will be the bare minimum of the costume he will have in Season 10:

Yes, I made it. I am very proud of the lighting on the logo.

Why buy? The guy might have more than one black shirt in his closet. Heck, I have at least half a dozen.

Not really. He could just be an intern. Chloe was an intern at the Planet when she was 15-16. Jimmy's brother looked to be about 11 or 12 at the funeral, maybe older.

I loved it. This episode gave me much hope for next season. This finale definately didn't leave me disappointed. I thought the rain fight was awesome.

This finale is for sure at the top of my faves list now. I jumped for joy at the opening scene.:woot:

That would just be reverting back to season 1-8 with the only difference being the S shield on the blue shirt as oppose to a plain blue shirt. I'm almost positive they're past all of that. If he does infact transition into another prototype for most of the season, it'll more than likely be closer to his blur look only red and blue or it'll be closer to the actual look.

He better fly right when season 10 starts. He finally accepted his role and everything. Stop dicking around and let him fly. :argh:

it'd be hillarious if they gave him the suit but he still stalls on flying. A full grown Supes, costume and all, still afraid of heights

A Supes who doesn't fly? That would be like the Golden Age Superman on Smallville. Kinda neat, but I also see your point.

Or a Tim Burton Superman movie that was never made.

*shivers*

I agree with IGN's Review. 9.5 out of 10

Easily the best SV episode made in years. The last good one like this was probably "Descent" or "Apocalypse."

IMO it was the best SV season finale as well ("Commencement" was dragged down by way too much of the Lana/Teague plot).

On a sidenote, the '2013' thing was definitely an In-Joke reference to the Siegel/Shuster lawsuit.

Especially the headline Palin was holding:

Economic gains in 2013. Highly amusing.

BEST EPISODE OF SMALLVILLE IN A LONG TIME! LOVED IT! especially the granny goodness cameo!
