As if it already wasn't, Oldman's win is guaranteed now. His only weak spot was Darkest Hour missing Best Picture.
Give Rockwell his Oscar via UPS now. Save some time.
Get Out is on Blu Ray, correct? I would like to rewatch Dunkirk again, but seeing the other films is a higher priority for me right now.
I know. That's what I'm saying. Darkest Hour missing was his only weak spot. Since it didn't miss, his win is all but guaranteed. It was nominated.
Detroit getting overlooked this award season is odd. The cast was mostly young talent. Anthony Mackie joked that he was the veteran actor on set. I'm sure the likes of Poulter, Rayner and Boyega will probably get their moment in the sun in the future.
Get Out is also on HBO now too. Its terrific - definitely catch it when you can.

I get that the Academy loves Denzel, but nominating him for Roman J. Israel when you had people like Tom Hanks (The Post), Hugh Jackman (Logan) and James McAvoy (Split) right there for the taking is odd.

Three of my favorite directors made it in for Best Director.
This might be my favorite year ever.
CMBYN did not have a good morning. Guadagnino misses Director and neither of the supporting actor contenders were able to crack it.
Christopher Nolan
Guillermo Del Toro
Paul Thomas Anderson
All in one year. I am here for it.
Wonder how many, if any, folks will wonder why Detroit didn't get anything- though haven't seen it myself. But very happy with the nods for Shape of Water and Three Billboards.
