Just as I thought, you cant come up with one logical reason. Tsk tsk tsk:csad: , I thought you could do better than that. So just because he has 2 claws and Wolverine has 3 that makes him a rip off? Get real, thats a load of crap and you know it. Sure, even I'll admit that there is quite a bit of work ahead on this character but heck, every character needs improvment. Yes the claws are a similaritiy and I'll admit that, but that doesn't prove the fact that he rip off of Wolverine. So you can get all mad and have a heart attack over it, not my problem.

Having claws is a big ****ing similarity. lol Your so clueless of to the fact that your character is ****ty that it amazes me.
If I made a character with a device on his wrist that shoots out a organic rope, stronger then steel, that allows him to swing through the city. Who does it sound like?

Listen up son.....this is a site devoted to comic book related items....many young people come here to read about things.....this is a family oriented site......SO, STOP THE CURSING.....THERE IS NO NEED FOR IT.

My biography gets bigger everytime I edit it, so look out.

It's the amazing Spiderman. Anyways I would like to see some more bio on the Cosmic Surfer. Also if you want I could draw you a picture of him if you could describe him what his costume looks like.

venom628, I read the bio you developed for your character the cosmic surfer. I have to say this, he seems very familiar to the silver surfer. You have even placed him in he Marvel universe, interacting with characters from Marvel, as well.

There are a lot of inconsistencies with the character's bio. For one, how did the cosmic surfer come to be, what is his origin? Also, what are the motives for all these villains to come after him? You do not have plausible scenarios where villains like Venom and Galactus would go after him. Having the villains know about the cosmic surfer is not a good reason for them to go out hunting him down. Where is the original conflict? And, why is Eddie Brock kidnapping Sarah? I don't understand why he would do this.

What does 'cosmic' powers mean, anyway? You didn't define that very well.

I think you need to put some more thought into this character. As it stands, the bio is incoherent and the cosmic surfer is very close, in appearance and powers, to the silver surfer.

Sorry sir. But to be fair he started it by directly insulting me.

Who me? Pfffft! Come on you were cursing so bad there and over what? A comic book character? Get real. That guy is right, this is a thread for like-minded adults who share the same interests to talk amoungst each other about the things that have drawn us to the website, comic books.

Actually WeaponZed its not a cheap knock off like this one here. I can admit that there are SIMILARITIES between the two but there are always similarities between every super-hero. Show me some solid eveidence that I copied Renegade from Wolverine which I didnt. Get a whole page of evidence cause your gonna need it to prove that hes just a knock off of Wolverine because so far theres just about no evidence proving it, so good luck with tha jack***.:yay:

Right there. Not only did you miss spell "that". You insulated me because you couldn't handle the thought of some one pointing out your character is a cheap knock off.

You literally proved the point of the thread. Someone points out the "Similarities" between your character and Wolverine and you get over defensive.

Since this is a comic book sight, I'm sure your aware of who Rob Liefield is right? Here's some of the Characters he "created" with "similarities" to other, BETTER characters.

24.jpg

He doesn't have trick Arrows. Hawkeye has trick arrows.

21.jpg

Cap throws his shield. The Fighting American holds onto his at all times.

34.jpg

He's a tough as hell midget. Just like Puck. And chops are so back in. Everyone has them. Even Wolverine.

33.jpg

Add glowing eye to one of these two and give them a buzz cut. Rob is so low he even rips off his own character.

If I recall correctly...Marvel made a big deal about the Fighting American having a shield as a weapon. When they brought it to court, the deal was that the Fighting American couldn't throw his shield or else Rob would be in the crapper for plagiarism.
I also remember reading that the company that made "City of Hero's" came under some heat when the option of making a character with claws was available.
Trust me. If your Character "Renegade" was ever made. Marvel would be on you like that.

True those pretty much resemble characters that already exist, and true there are many similarities between Renegade and Wolverine, but I'am currently working alot on him so for the time being get off my back about it.

hey donald, wolvie is my favorite marvel hero too. and im writing a story now with a character that i created. since i like wolvie and spidey i decided that i should just make all of my char's powers different from those two just to be on the safe side. maybe that can help you out.

Making changes on your character is great. You should always develop him. But you still need to make some drastic changes. Anyway, this will be it.

I agree that would help out a lot. If you make Renegade's powers different from Wolverines and not include any of his powers abilties in him then he will be more your own. That along with the bio being done to where it makes more sense and doesn't seem like it was just slopply put together.

So Jallain what is the name of the character you created?

Ok not only does the Fighting American have the same look as Cap with the costume he also has the same colors and color pattern. Captain America like Superman is such a popular character that if you are going to make a character similar to him than use the Gladiator (Kallark) model and change his super hero name, make his powers and abilties differ so they are not exactly similar, don't use the same color patern, last keep the appearnce different, and make sure his bio is mostly different. You like at Superman and Gladiator while both have about the same powers with Gladiator having some more than Superman doesn't it's his bio, look, and color patern of his costume that keeps him from being a cheap Superman knock off. Also the way he is used Gladiator serves the Shiar Empire a advanced civilization while Superman is on Earth protecting Metroplis helping the humans.

To be fair to Liefield and the Fighting American, he's meant to be a rip-off character because the stories used for him were meant to be stories meant for Captain America that Marvel didn't want to publish and Liefield just wanted to show them.

The rest is pretty damn sad though.
