Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Adrianne Palicki IS Mockingbird

Why do you want that? I'd prefer them to meet for the first time and have an adventure together. Renner and Palicki could easily feature in a Hawkeye movie if one were made. It could be a bit like the Bourne Legacy.

But I think "if one were made" is the key there. At least having interaction in the past would provide a substance to her character and to discuss Hawkeye even if your hypothetical movie never happens.

Besides, even if they have a past together (could also just be ex-girlfriend rather than ex-wife) doesn't mean they can't have a future together too. They could just end up getting back together as well.

I'm not a huge fan of Palicki, but I think she's actually a pretty good choice for Bobbi. Much better than she was for Wonder Woman. This is easily my favorite comics character brought onto the show yet.

I've literally never seen her in anything before (that I can remember) any reason you're not a fan?

Would be cool if Mockingbird were to fight either Melinda May or Grant Ward. I'm sure one of those will occur.

I can't wait to see how her battle staves work. I think Adrianne is also going to have to do quite a bit of pole vaulting training.

Great choice. Plus she's a movie caliber actress which means we could see her in Age of Ultron, Cap 3 or Avengers 3.
Doubt it. Most Characters that START on AoS stay on AoS. From what I remember, SOMEONE said something to that effect during last season.
The only ones that ARE supposed to be in both are Coulson, Hill, and Fury.
Doesn't mean we won't tho. They may change their minds.

They haven't ever had one of the Avengers on the show so far though, so maybe Mockingbird will be an exception. They also cast someone who isn't purely a TV actress.

They've had Sif on the show.
I can see SHIELD characters crossing back and forth but the heroes are a bit more Epic. I can see Renner and Scarjo on AoS for example.

They haven't said anything specific. What they've said is that separate people run the television side of production and they have to stand on their own. Everything I've seen is, at most, non-committal about having characters established on television in the movies.

However, given the long production time for movies, it's not something that can be done last second. A character created for this season of Agents of SHIELDS won't be able to make it in Age of Ultron (well, they could, but it would be more likely to be shoehorned in because they'd have to change something in a movie already established).

Dangit, Wish I could remember who was saying that. FOLKS....NEVER get old!!!!!

Crossing my fingers for either:

A. A Renner guest appearance at some point in the future
B. A Palicki cameo in a future MCU movie (probably too late to squeeze something into AOU?)
C. At least a passing reference to Clint or Bobbi in whatever they happen to be appearing on about the other

there should be very little worry about the tv characters crossing over. Sif is proof alone. Clint is bound to show up in Season 2, I'd bet on a 2 episode arc. Still, if a Fraction-style Hawkeye movie can be made, it's best if Bobbi is an ex-Mrs.Barton.

G'day,

Its going to be interesting to see what her costume will be like. I hope it will be a black & white get up , not the usual black. Lets see some options. Firstly the standard black SHEILD uniform.

Then theres the swimsuit, but I think we can give that a miss. She is not going to be showing her bum.

However the comic book version can easily be adapted for the screen its a variant of the uniform:

How about something like this?

or this?

But you left out this:

Her original costume, which I think is her best and most iconic.

She needs the classic mask, not the goggles. If a more "gritty" and realistic show like Arrow can get away with having Domino masks, then there's no reason Mockingbird can't have one in this show.

G'day,

With those boots, and sleeves? No.. Shes not going to be next to Melinda May dressed like that. And why does she need a mask?

They can adapt Mockingbird's mask, like they did with Hawkeye's glasses or WS' balaclava.

Personally, I like the idea of Mockingbird wearing a white jumpsuit-type outfit (kind of like what Agent 13 wears in the comics) with a purple military-style jacket over it. Something like...

...that was posted above. I really like that look.

I really, really hope they keep her staff, though. Thank goodness they cast someone like Palicki, who can both act and do the choreographed fight stuff.

I said in the main thread, if you haven't seen Friday Night Lights, get thee to Netflix/Amazon Prime/Hulu quickly. Palicki tears it up as Tyra Collette, a character who goes through some amazing (and, sometimes, a little insane) character arcs throughout four or so seasons of the show. FNL is one of the best all-time shows in the history of television too, even with the roughness of season two. But I do generally agree that, while she doesn't pick too many movies that really showcase her as an actress, she's great with the action stuff. And I think she can do a little funny stuff as well. I really liked her in GI Joe as Lady Jane.

But she will forever have my heart as Tyra. Tyra & Tim 4-Evah! TEXAS FOREVER!!!

CLEAR EYES, FULL HEARTS! CAN'T LOSE!

That's not the standard uniform, this:

or this:
Maria_Hill.jpg

seem to be the "official uniform". Though a lot of variations have been shown so either S.H.I.E.L.D. has a really energetic uniform designer or their are different uniforms for different sections.

If Mockingbird has something that looks like the standard SHIELD uniform she'll look really boring. She might as well not be Mockingbird but simply Agent Morse, because there will really be no difference between her and a well-trained SHIELD agent if she's just going to look like one of them.

She needs the glasses. They are iconic.

I'm soooo super excited that she is finally coming! One of my favorites from the Hawkeye mini-series in the 80's. Love it.

The mask is more iconic. The glasses just look like fashion spectacles.

I don't think we will see a SHIELD uniform since the organization do not exist anymore

I think she wore glasses because she didn't have great vision. I think I read that she was near sighted and didn't like contacts.

She could always get prescription goggles that look like her mask. She doesn't need a clear pair of spectacles which looks much like anything you could find at your opticians.

And glasses aren't really practical in a fight, because they can easily get knocked off, and then she wouldn't be able to see. Contacts are soft and disposable these days, so there shouldn't really be a problem wearing them.

.

Well to be honest, we really haven't had any opportunities for that to happen yet, since AoS has only been one season. I don't think you can really use that as a reason why it won't happen in the future. Now sure, if you have 5-6 years of characters starting in AoS and no one ever appeared in the MCU, then you have a point.

I know I'll probably get called out for being "boring", but...

Plain white top, black leather open-front jacket (w\ or w\out SHIELD logo), standard black SHIELD BDU pants, possibly with custom white trim (alternately, plain black jeans). Maybe, or maybe not, a pair of glasses. If you really want to emphasize the white, make the pants white too.

Basically, just something black with an open front, and a white top underneath.
