Agatha Agatha All Along on Disney+

Oh I didn’t realise this was ending this week with two episodes. Really hope they do a good job with the finale. Other than maybe a couple of episodes in the middle where the trial stuff got a little repetitive, I think the rest of this show has been enjoyable and good.

I think (hope) that they will stick the landing. They've shown that they know that a perfect end to a story doesn't have to be shooting different coloured beams at each other and there's clearly a lot more to unpack between those left on the road.

I would rate the series a 6.5 to a 7. I was mostly bored when watching this. The cast didn't grab me at all and I just felt indifference with the twists, especially towards the end.

The trials definitely lasted longer than it did, even though the series wasn't even long to begin with. The entire series could have been told in a 2 hr/30 minutes movie cut, just like all of the live action mcu shows.

I actually enjoyed the bulk of this show much more than I expected to. The episodes were short and fun enough to make it easy to watch. The episode with the old women and the Taro cards was REALLY good. I'll go back to watch that one.

...However... that was literally the worst finale episode of a Marvel show that I can remember. The tone of it was entirely different than the rest of the show, and then they made the whole plot of the show irrelevant with a stupid twist. It basically makes the show unwatchable. I'm blown away. To get so close to a quality show, and then to destroy it at the end like that..

I mentioned in another thread but the reason for that is because the first half of the 9th episode was originally supposed to be a separate Halloween Special Presentation that later got cut up and incorperated into the show. It was originally only supposed to be 8 episodes followed up by a prequel special.

I would have liked those last two episodes and show more if that was the tone and budget of the show the entire time.

the symbolism that cause she's lived so long, by taking life's, that is she literally flirting with Death...

it really is the perfect metaphor

I don’t get the animosity towards Rio in the show. She’s Death. She’s a natural part of the world. It doesn’t make her evil, it makes her necessary. She’s a loon, that’s for sure, but she has to exist.

Absolutely true, but at the same time most people will never not hate Death at least a little. It's very ingrained in us.

Marvel loves to introduce important characters late. The "real" Mandarin being introduced after Tony Stark dies and the Iron Man movie franchise ended, and now Death being introduced long after the Infinity Saga is over and Thanos being dead.

Really loved this show despite not expecting to. There was a bit of a dip in the middle with the fire challenge and Ouija challenge but even that makes more sense by the end. Up there with Loki and Wandavision with the best of the Disney+ shows.

She would have ended up dying on The Road in one of the trials anyway, so it’s probably for the best.
She has like nine lives. Kill her once and she'll back with just 1 n instead of 2, but not where you think.

There's no good way to put her on the road without making her part of the coven. I suppose she could have been a cameo where she declines.

Madisynn would have been unnecessary in the show.

She serves a bigger purpose in Avengers: Madisynnday, which is a prelude to Avengers: Secret Madisynn.

The "Teen" Funko sold out in less than 20 hours. Show didn't hit the Nielsen chart last week, but per all other sources there is a glow-up coming for viewership numbers. Even with the results so far, Marvel has a lot of cause to be happy.
