So basically Hulk left before the battle is done?

Nope, he's in it till the end. Bruce wants to leave before and talks Nat into coming along, but when they hear the battle noise, she kisses him and throws him into an abyss so he'll turn and come back into battle with her. Fight is as good as over or already over when Hulk takes over that jet, from what I remember.

Sorry for being negative
but this sound more and more like a worse movie than the first film overall
from the stories to the fights, and many other minor things

A few more things I dislike to hear about in last few pages

If Wanda is more of a threat to the team than Ultron, then there's really nothing exciting or interesting I would expect from this film other than a few certain characters

Ultron should be the last thing I need to worry about from this film
Now my hope is lost

I think maybe Whedon doesn't know what to do with the character, but I'm hopeful that others may be more creative. I agree that this story is a waste of his character and Ruffalo's acting skills (but he sadly seems very keen on abandoning Bruce and Betty for the Widow romance).

I wonder if maybe it's a combination of Whedon not really knowing what to do with him and the studio itself deciding it's not really worth it to invest in him as a character outside of smaller stuff. His appearances in Avengers movies keeps his toys selling I'm sure, but at the same time, they don't have to risk yet another solo movie on him (I know they only did the Norton one but there was another Hulk solo) or figure out what to do with him and can just put him in as muscle when it comes time for the team to beat up some bad guys.

Wait what? It was established by the end of TIH and The Avengers that Bruce can control his transformations into the Hulk, therefore can transform at will.

Sounds like a reenactment of this scene...

They really don't know what to do with the character, and they can't really do anything with all the legal issues involved. Kind of a waste of Ruffalo's talents really when he's got no arc.

Tbh it would probably have made more sense storywise to kill him off particularly as a catalyst for Tony and Nat going into CW (Tony thinking that this mess needs controlling because it killed his friend, Nat thinking that they need to protect these people because look what happened to Bruce).

But they won't because he sells a lot of merchandise.

See that's kind of sad to me that Bruce wants to bail out on the battle and I'm glad Nat makes her choice and stays.

7/10 I guess. Cap 2 and Avengers was better as whole, Iron Man 2 is more entertaining for me. Definitely better than IM 3 and Thor 2. Ranks somewhere about the first Thor, Captain America movie.

i saw the movie last night and i would say the same things.

AoU miss:
- blood ! peoples die and no single drop of blood.
- darkness
- dead

and:
- black widow get captured, and nothing ... not even a scratch
- the farm ...

Yeah, but he doesn't want to turn. She pretends, she wants to leave with him and forces him to turn then.

So she betrays him in a way by disrespecting his wishes? Ok she may do it for the greater good but is this something a loving partner would do? Explains why he leaves at the end!

This is also another recycle of a scene from TIH! :whatever:

Agreed for the most part, liked the farm, though. It was about time, Clint got some characterization.

Hello!! On a scale of 1-10..how would u rate the movie? Is AOU ur fave mcu film?

That's my girl. Post TWS Nat is not going to bail out on people like that.

After all, there's a huge scene in there where she opens up to Steve and he says he would trust her to save his life. Her wanting to bail on him and the others would've be a huge betrayal of that so I'm glad Nat turns him down.

So she betrays him in a way by disrespecting his wishes? Ok she may do it for the greater good but is this something a loving partner would do? Explains why he leaves at the end!

I seem to recall Scarlett saying something about how Nat chooses the greater good over whatever her personal feelings are. If the implication is that Bruce leaves her behind because of that choice then it does explain his subsequent absence from up coming films.

I guess either they'll have an emotional reunion or there'll be a line drawn under it in IW depending on whether the Russo's like the ship or not!

To be fair, going slightly back on my losing hype comment.

If someone told me the full story of Avengers and said how Cap's fighting and character wasn't great, Hawkeye was essentially hypnotised and did nothing. Thor didn't really do anything before I saw the first film, I would have lost hype for that film as well.

Yeah, I think logically it makes sense. Because right now they're fairly incapable (and unwilling) to really progress the character along and give him the attention that he really deserves. They have him as a bit player in a constantly growing cast every few years, where his involvement will just continue to shrink. They can't use him well, so they probably should just kill the character off.

Well obviously, I said I'm positive I will still love the film. I just thought it was going to be mind-blowing and by far the best MCU film. In fact perhaps it's for the better my expectations have lowered. Less chance of disappointment which can always affect the way you judge a film.

We just have to see it by ourselves before judging it.

Quicksilver, a guy that can literally run through metal robots is shot. I wonder if there was a laugh-track after that. :rimshot:

Whedon, it's gonna be you and ME...in the Octagon! :argh:
