Didn't expect to see Jackson on the show period or especially so soon in the game, great surprise either way.

Great seeing Leonor Varela from Blade 2 as the bad guy, maybe Snipes could also guest star at some point.

Highly unlikely to see RDJ on the show as he simply is too expensive unless of course, he is willing to take a smaller check for a cameo on the show. We have a better shot of seeing Scar Jo or Jeremy Renner as Black Widow and Hawkeye appearing as cameo's.

Or he can always do it for a much lower price. I'm pretty sure i read somewhere that Ruffalo did the post credit scene in IM3 just because he was in town and thought it would be fun. It didnt count towards his contract or anything.

Yeah, I like this show. It's a basic procedural show, but it's still entertaining.

I was more shocked PHOTON emissions were mentioned! That's a MAR-VELL reference!

That was awesome.

I really enjoyed this episode. More than the first, this is exactly what I wanted and was hoping for from this show.

Every new show goes through a slow start as we get to know the characters, relationships are set, and chemistry between the actors grow. I feel like some of the people complaining about the show have never watched a serial drama before. Good riddance I say. Can't wait till the haters are weeded out, as happens with every show, so fans can discuss without the peanut gallery constantly bashing.

 I would hardly classify this as a serial drama in it's current state. It's more of a procedural with serial elements.

Episode this week was better than the finale - but as someone said it's still so vanilla to me as well. Nice to see Fury at the end!

May & Fitz-Simmsons are my favorites though!

Unfortunately,I had some distractions that kept popping up,but from what I saw,Excellent episode.Great action, fun humor and Fury!

Bonus points for featuring "Maria" from Human Target.:awesome:

Really? can you recall when? I'm guessing it was one of Fitzsimmons who said it. I love them but it would be nice if they slowed down the super fast sciency-talk a little.

clear visual reference with that huge photon energy stick - looked exactly like thor smashing the hammer down

This episode was fun! They're showing us more of the characters' personalities and their team dynamic as it develops, which is always the fun part of an ensemble show. The episode went along at a lively pace, the acting and dialog were good and the action was intense. There was a definite sense that the writer(s) knew where these characters were coming from and where they intend them to go. That made me interested to find out more.

Skye seems to be developing as I'd hoped before seeing the pilot. She's obviously still working with the "Rising Tide," and as I stated before it would be interesting to see her exposed as a puppet of the same evil forces she claims to be fighting. HYDRA dupe sounds about right. Trusting her should eventually come back to bite Coulson in the ass in a very painful way.

The Nick Fury cameo was absolutely perfect. Samuel L. Jackson makes everything better. :cwink:

Overall, this episode was an improvement on the pilot. I'm looking forward to next week's episode even more eagerly now.

Right before Ward pulls 0-8-4 out of the wall, Fitz says there are Photon emissions.

Yea I can see him doing it just because he has a good relationship with Marvel and Joss. But he will still cost a hefty price I am sure. I am shocked Sam Jackson appeared. It was awesome though!

To be fair, I'm sure he was talking about "photon" in small letters --- those little light particles --- rather than "Photon" capitalized. Don't think it was about Monica Rambeau at all.

Next weeks looks really cool just from the 10 second preview.

Anyone watching The Blacklist? Missed last episode but loved EP
1 and loved Spader. No worries about Ultron from me that's for sure.

I think his point was that the word was said

RDJ should just do it for free.. life ain't all about money! Make the fans and himself happy
(I can dream someone would do something nice for free haha)

I was thinking WARD as Mar-Vell lol

My guess is that she will betray them But in the end , she will side with SHIELD when all is said and done.

How is the word photon an easter egg? That's a pretty typical science term.

Well, I like the direction of the subplot with Skye's torn loyalties. Otherwise, the episode was just ok for me, but I did love that "after-credits scene." Hope the ratings stay up.

Yeah, Monica Rambeau crossed my mind, but it's too weak a connection. Much as I'm hoping for stronger comics references, I'm still going to enjoy the ride.

I think it was a reference to Serenity. There was a thing exactly like that in the opening scene of Serenity. Might have even been the same prop.
