The Easter eggs and marvel related mentions are my favorite parts by far

My initial thoughts:

-Episode was pretty action packed, and decent quality stuff for ABC in my opinion.
-I felt like the acting/chemistry was better than last week (think Ward and Skye talking over their 'drink')
-SLJ!
-preview for next week looks really good
-I know some people don't like it, but this episode is exactly what I expected/wanted when they pitched "a team of new SHIELD agents in the MCU." I'm very pleased.

There, I wanted to get that out there.

My thoughts exactly!

This episode was kind of boring. I know the tone is supposed to be fun and light, but I really don't have any positive feelings for members of the team beyond Coulson. They're just.... there.

Is Tahiti related to anything in the comics at all?? Its clearly code for where he was and it was a" magic place" can't wait to find that all out.

Not that I'm aware of. I'm looking forward to the slow reveal on this one!

I am liking the show, it's definitely not boring and the effects are good for a TV show budget. I don't mind the marvel references I mean, come on this show is kinda targeted at the mainstream crowd who only know about Marvel through the movies. I don't see why people are hating on this already with only two episodes on its belt. Typical hipster mentally bash anything that is popular.

I like this post, ShadowBoxer. Nail on the head.

Hate to say it since I know everyone was psyched for him, but Bear McCreary's score has hasn't helped the corny feel of the show for me. It's solid in some parts, but the main theme has a Saturday Morning cartoon feel that's unfortunately more cheese than charm. :/

This week might've been slightly better than last week though. Has potential, but so far it's just so... vanilla. I still like Fitz-Simmons best; I find their passion for their work and lack of cynicism endearing.

The SLJ scene was the best part by far though, not because of fanservice; it was just the most genuinely entertaining scene of the show so far.

This for me. Ward is startin to get my attention. Skye sort of toned down the "over the top-ness" from the first episode, so she is a bit more tolerable. ( still think she's a smoke show though) May is just incredibly annoying to me.

This episode was much better than the pilot. The acting was better, and the chemistry was better. I'd say the script was better too. I didn't cringe at all in this episode. And fury at the end!! That was great! I want more of that! :)

Fun episode. SLJ appearing as Fury was a great surprise. Glad to see that happen, but totally didn't expect it.

I was surprised to see Nick Fury, I knew it would happen but not this soon. I hope to see him again. I love Sam Jackson. This show just keeps getting better each episode. I want to see Tony Stark or Bruce Banner. I think I might know what happened to Coulson, he mention that Tahiti was a magical place, I think he was really in Asgard.

Every new show goes through a slow start as we get to know the characters, relationships are set, and chemistry between the actors grow. I feel like some of the people complaining about the show have never watched a serial drama before. Good riddance I say. Can't wait till the haters are weeded out, as happens with every show, so fans can discuss without the peanut gallery constantly bashing.

This show should try to stand on its own first and save the big name cameos for later. Otherwise, it won't last.

I liked this episode better than last weeks, and that Fury cameo was fantastic.

I was really excited to see Nick Fury on the show, that was a good surprise.

Opinions:
1. Best Part of the episode was Nick Fury(Joss Whedon writes the best lines ever for Nick Fury, like we saw in The Avengers.
2. Action Scenes were Avengers-Level
3. Blowing up side of Plane Scene was a reused scene from Iron Man 3
4. Hydra Reference
5. The scene with the agents arguing was a huge reference to Tony Stark's and Steve Rodgers argument from The Avengers.
6. One of the agents looks like Topher Grace aka Eddie Brock aka Venom from Spider-Man 3

Highly unlikely to see RDJ on the show as he simply is too expensive unless of course, he is willing to take a smaller check for a cameo on the show. We have a better shot of seeing Scar Jo or Jeremy Renner as Black Widow and Hawkeye appearing as cameo's.

I wouldnt be so harsh as to say good riddance. It just seems clear to me that people had expectations in terms of tone and edginess that this show was never going to have, and i don't think thats going to change especially if they continue to draw good ratings. Its probably going to be a family-friendly action adventure show, for better or worse.
