Oh yeah...thanks...but still...last week was also "gamma, super soldier etc in a blender"...maybe they could have just had last week not be explained as basically the same thing, but injected.
And they repeat it in Episode 1 just incase someone is watching Ep. 2 that didn't watch Ep. 1

Not reliable but Roger Wardell (lol) tweeted Skye is a well know character.. any guesses?

I think that's sort of implied/obvious. Considering there were 3 different points in the first episode, that hinted at Skye having a "real" name, and her having a "past"

It's obvious enough

check out last episode's thread. There was lengthy discussion about that

Ah.. too hard. Bullet points!

Hey! Didn't expect the big Guy

Ok, that was the best part. The show needs more of that.

I know it's a plot point but shouldn't SHIELD be able to monitor all electronics on their plane? They should know Skye is getting secret texts right?

Kind of weak episode, SLJ totally saved it lol

Maybe there is hope to see Haweye and Black Widow as cameos!!!! :)

Maybe they are. You ever heard the saying keep your friends close and your enemies closer

"I'm gonna downgrade your ass to a winnebago"..lol

Last week could have just been Extremis, augmented by the new technology (I actually assumed that they'd say it was Chitauri tech). By adding in the super soldier and gamma radiation, they basically are just name-dropping already established stuff (while not bringing in new elements from the comics yet).

I don't hate the show, nor am I looking for reasons to not like it. My main problem is still that I feel like there's at least one too many team members...to the point where they are looking for things for them all to do (Skye especially).

My initial thoughts:

-Episode was pretty action packed, and decent quality stuff for ABC in my opinion.
-I felt like the acting/chemistry was better than last week (think Ward and Skye talking over their 'drink')
-SLJ!
-preview for next week looks really good
-I know some people don't like it, but this episode is exactly what I expected/wanted when they pitched "a team of new SHIELD agents in the MCU." I'm very pleased.

There, I wanted to get that out there.
