Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Will Tie To Avengers: Age Of Ultron

I'm actually much more excited about a potential tie-in with Civil War...if the show lasts that long. With Speedball rumored to be joining the show, they could really lay some ground work for the CW after Age of Ultron and before the CW starts. I actually think it'd be a cool way to end that show...have Bobbi's secret be that she's working with Stark, and Quake sides with The Winter Soldier and Cap...so the team splits in two, filling the ranks of the two sides of the war.

Bottom line...Civil War has to have a Mockingbird v Black Widow fight scene. They have to.

I wonder if the Avengers fighting HYDRA in AOU will be the final stand for HYDRA and after they will be finished for good?

Cut off one head etc etc

I think they're done after AoU as a very visible threat to global security, but they'll still exist in AoS for example

I feel like they already started Civil War. The movie version is going to be who's in charge of the superheroes and that's Talbot ' s main worry.

To quote Agent Garrett:"HYDRA always comes back." :woot:

I think the tie in already started.. Mockingbird is keeping something from the current SHIELD team....and I think shes reporting to Clint....or Stark

She is reporting to Barton who is reporting to Hill, who is reporting to Stark, who is reporting to Rhodey, who is reporting to Talbot, who is reporting to Coulson.

Who is reporting to Fury. DUN DUN DUN.

:funny:

That would kinda suck tbh... I don't see Ultron being around long enough for a weekly show to concern themselves with the actual fight that much anyway. He seems more like a dealt with quickly villain

Ultron always comes back. He's a virus.

What it be that hard for James Spader to lend his voice to the show? He's a tv star nowadays anyway.

they don't have to fully render Ultorn. Just have his face pop up on a screen after he hijacks the world's networks (you know it's going to happen) and have him in that way.

The MCU will be getting more cosmic, so I doubt hydra will be much of a threat by civil war. Besides, Shield has more to worry about than just Hydra. Skye's father(Daddy Dearest) will be assembling a team to get revenge on Coulson by the third episode.

With 3 episodes post-movie release, the tie-in may be post AOU.

It'll be pre and post, like TWS one was. Gotta get on board the hype train!

Clark Gregg talks Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and teases possibility of Avengers: Age of Ultron tie-in

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Posted March 12 2015 — 2:49 PM EDT
Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returned from its winter hiatus in an explosive way (literally), with Skye embracing her superhero identity as Daisy Johnson (a.k.a. Quake), the return of the Kree, and the introduction of the Inhumans. Star Clark Gregg talked with EW Morning Live on Entertainment Weekly Radio (SiriusXM, channel 105) about S.H.I.E.L.D.’s upcoming storylines, and given last year’s big Winter Soldier tie-in, we couldn’t help asking about the possibility of seeing a similar link with Avengers: Age of Ultron, out May 4.
“The fun thing about Marvel is that if there is a way to make the story connect, they’re all about that,” says Gregg. “As someone who kind of knows the way these worlds connect, I feel like the stuff is there. There are some secrets going on in some of the episodes that even Coulson is keeping from people closest to him, that I’m hoping might be something that connects with that. But I won’t find out until we read that script next week.”

I was hoping for a 'Avengers are attacking Hydra bases' mention by now.

Come on Marvel step up your connectivity :cwink:

How about Bobby and Mac think they're working for Stark - but in reality they're taking instructions from Ultron. So when they steal the cube Ultron has all the information he needs to move to phase 2

I think its More likely they are working for Robert Gonzales.

^ That's the Edward James Olmos character, right? Seems plausible. Perhaps he's heading up his own S.H.I.E.L.D. sect.

Was there ever an indication that Agents of SHIELD wasn't going to tie into Age of Ultron? It's already tied into every other Marvel movie from The Avengers onward.

The Avengers: Coulson's resurrection/the whole theme of living in a world post-"Avengers"
Iron Man 3: Extremis plotline in the pilot
Thor TDW: "The Well"
Captain America The Winter Soldier: "Turn, Turn, Turn"
Guardians of the Galaxy: The Kree being shown/mentioned

I'm more curious to see how the show will tie into stuff like Doctor Strange and Black Panther, if it sticks around long enough, that is.

Maybe the team goes to Wakanda on a mission or its mentioned in a later episode for Black Panther. For Doctor Strange maybe something involving magic since Strange is a sorcerer.

I feel like they already started Civil War. The movie version is going to be who's in charge of the superheroes and that's Talbot ' s main worry.

There's also Gonzales who is anti-superpower. AoS 2.5 might be giving us a look at what we might expect from Civil War.

I think it will be Coulson locating Von Strucker - we'll have Ward in the next episode - and communicate the info to Fury or Hill.
And the Avengers will attack them to start the movie.
