^ They'll probably take the Bus as their transport, and maybe find an underground network of non-corrupt ex-SHIELD as support.

Maybe but then where would they get all their intel? Could they still even use the bus?
Depending on how TWS plays out, they could still get their intel from Fury or Hill. Fury has gone rogue and covertly helped out heroes in the comics, so they could have him do it here. He seems to be on Cap's side in TWS, at least judging by the previews. Also, they could just steal the bus.

One thing I really appreciate about this show and the one sure fire edge it has over Arrow (not dissing Arrow) is the casting for the comic book characters. We might not get them that often, but Marvel sure as hell has some really cool, interesting casting choices. J. August Richards (Deathlok), Ian Hart (Graviton), Saffron Burrows (Victoria Hand), Dylan Minnette (Blizzard), Bill Paxton (John Garrett), Elena Satine (Lorelei). I have enjoyed every one of these performances.

Arrow's casting has been pretty spot on, with the exception of Laurel. Slade has been freaking great so far.

However, if I want AOS to take one thing from Arrow, it's how to shoot action. That show's action sequences are great, and it does them with a much smaller budget. AOS could learn a lot from the style and choreography Arrow uses.

As it stands, I think Arrow is better right now, but AOS is staring to climb in quality, just like Arrow did. Arrow didn't start off as good as it is now. It went through a rough beginning. It took me at least 6 or so eps in before I really started to dig it, about the same with AOS. Hopefully AOS starts to pick up steam like Arrow did (and it's showing every sign it will) because it would be great to have two popular superhero tv shows going at once.

I didn't say that Arrow doesn't have good casting, but Agents of SHIELD's casting (for comic characters) is a lot more interesting. I mean Saffron Burrows and Elena Satine are inspire choices for their roles. It's as if Marvel cast these roles with the intent that these are the only actors who will ever portray these characters in live action. That's how spot on it is. Now, it totally makes sense why that's the case, considering the fact that these characters are not just being cast for AoS, but the MCU as a whole. Arrow doesn't have that problem, it's clear that the actors they chose were only meant to appear on TV. As good as they are, I can't see them being the same actors DC would choose in a film, as much as I wanted Arrow to exist in DCs new movie universe.

The talent pool definitely seems to be better with SHIELD and even though I obviously voice my complaints more often than not the acting is tolerable, even good, and the casting as you've mentioned is usually pretty good.
I couldn't get past a few episodes with Arrow because the acting was so gag inducing, I felt like I was back in the 90s seeing one of my moms soaps unfold.
I felt it was really bad that the lead actor couldn't act. Same with that Blade t.v. series.

It's too bad, as it is now, Arrow's superior to AOS. Amell has really grown into his role. But to be honest, I didn't think his acting was any worse than the beginning of AOS.

I also don't really agree with the casting comparison either. I'd say the cast is about equal talent-wise.

It's unfair of me to be delving into casting comparisons because I've only watched the first few episodes, never really read DC stuff so I didn't bother committing myself.

For AoS it's the opposite, I've always been a 'Make Mine Marvel' guy so despite my virulent criticisms of the show I'm always secretly rooting for it and trying to let myself buy into the excuses so amply provided around here.
Truth be told it is improving, and much like people predicted, like Arrow it gets better with age.

So, how will Jim Steranko bash this episode tonight?

Uggggh

I didn't mean for this to turn in to another Marvel vs DC thing.

I was talking strictly about the comic characters. And I wasn't talking talent-wise either, I was speaking more towards how much more interesting and varied the casting is in AoS.

If you like comic books stuff, you should check it out. Personally, I'm a much bigger fan of the Marvel Universe as a whole myself. Spidey was my first superhero that I fell in love with as a kid. The marvel universe itself has always been more interesting to me than DC's word. Though Batman is one of my favorite superheroes.

However, one thing that Arrow is doing wonderfully well right now is organically and naturally expanding it's superhero world. The universe it's setting up is becoming more and more interesting (they've started introducing the League of Assassins) and the actor playing Slade absolutely kills it. Manu is great.

I can't really compare AOS to Arrow yet in terms of world building, because they're still in their first season, but by the end of S1, Arrow had really hit it's stride. It's looking like AOS is definitely getting there though.

Honestly, the biggest thing I want AOS to take from Arrow, like I said before, is the action sequences. Arrow has some of the best action sequences I've ever seen in a TV show. It honestly has some of the best normal hand to hand action sequences I've seen in a superhero show period. I wish Nolan had utilized a style similar to what they do in Arrow for his films. It's just flashy enough, while still looking very brutal and efficient.

Not sure I follow really. I think everyone I've seen in Arrow has been perfect for their role, aside from Laurel. And the Huntress I suppose. She could have been better. But All the other heroes/villains they've cast in Arrow have been very interesting. Clock King was great, and Slade's been perfect. Both shows have been pretty solid on the casting front.

And I don't think it's a Marvel vs. DC thing right now really. We're just discussing the two shows. It's natural really, when was the last time we had two popular and well done live action superhero shows going on at the same time? I actually think it's exciting, I never thought this would have been a possibility ten years ago.

See my above post. Nobody's starting a flame war, we're just comparing the two shows, in a very civil manner I might add.

You don't really have to "follow", it's just my opinion. If you feel differently, then that's cool.
