Just saw it on netflix. Or, rather, I tried watching it. It's horrible. It's slow, boring, ugly, has not aged well at all, and is an overall Bad Movie. And not in a fun-bad way, but a boring-bad way :(

Watched that the other day. Doing a literal version of the book is laudable, but it probably isn't film-able if you do it straight on.

Exactly, actually my favourite is the one they did in -76. Even though it is a... "adult" version of the story, if you cut out that stuff, it's a good and fun musical that works. At least it works better than the 72 version AND Burtons thing.

They say this one is very true to the actual Lewis Carroll book.

The one with whoopie and Martin short always gave me the creeps

I recall seeing a cartoon version in the 1970s where Alice went through a television set instead of a looking-glass. Guess they were trying to be modern and hip!
