Wooo hooo....I'm going to get these collectibles...they look cute.....the others weren't worth collecting.....so I just ended up with the 3 sizes of cups and the crown.....lol

Yesterday the character posters started popping up in the streets of Rome. I'm still waiting to know the date of the press screening.

Yeah, most fast food cups are paper. The big ones are plastic, I think to give it more durability (?) so that it can hold more.

And I am really glad that this time the employees can actually see the toy rather than going, "sorry- they're covered up." God that was annoying trying to get the SM3 toys- even though I only didn't get two. But, still got most of them. :)

BK's really had a great line up so far this summer. First SM3, then FF2, and later Transformers. They must have really gone after the big blockbusters this time around- because it seems they got the toys for most of the real biggies.

And yeah, figured it would start soon since one of the BK's in our area was already setting up for it.

they got transformers also?

Man mcdonalds has all the crappy toys. :csad:

Yeah, I know- it's really amazing. I don't know how BK did it, but it's like they won the lottery ticket with every film this year.

The biggest film of July is without a doubt going to be TF, in my opinion. And FF2 is probably going to be the biggest if not close to biggest June film, probably. And SM3 is looking to be the top dog of the summer.

Not only are the film companies partying, but so is BK- mark my words. Although personally I like the food at McDonalds best, I know I'll be going to BK the most- to get the toys at least... unless they cover up the TF toys like they did SM3. (you can buy the toys seperate from the meal, if you ask).

Both restaurants have food that sucks the life out of ya.....but I at least like the salads at BK, so thats a plus....

Mickey D's food is *gags* there next toy up is Surfs up.

They cater too much o the kids.

Yeah, definitely. McD's definitely got screwed this summer in the toy department.

But, I do like their chicken... even though I know it sucks the life out of me- that's why I only go when necessary or when movie toys are out and I'm going to get lunch anyways. BK probably has the best burgers though- but, I go for the chicken and McDs has Chicken Fingers that are breaded good (I think those might be more healthy than the BK ones, even though that's still nothing to brag about- lol).

But, for those who don't want the meal- just ask, like I do, "what toys do you have?" They check, if it's one you want ask them if you can buy it seperate from the meal- most often times you can. That way you can still get the toy, if you don't want to necessarily eat the food.

Lol. Yeah, it's just us fans that are really into these toys still- but, you've got ALOT of fans. Every guy I run into working at BK knows exactly what I'm talking about with the SM toys, where to get them, what ones they are, what the packages look like down to the t, and which ones came out at the same time, etc. Which is really cool because they helped me find most of the SM3 toys. And they are just as excited about those toys as I am, so I think it's really stil grown ups and teens going to collect the BK toys.

I guess that promotional coin wasn't such a great idea after all. link

Somebody over at the Fox marketing department is going to lose their job. :word:

Yeah we saw that last week, I doubt anyone will lose their job. Its still good advertisement....they'll get a handslap and move on with the coins...They are actually getting more advertisement out of it with this coming out anyway.

Has anybody mentioned the life-sized Silver Surfer scultures in theaters? My theater has one and it's one of the coolest damn things I've ever seen and it's not mentioned here anywhere it seems.

Yep, we even have pictures.....:woot:

Marvel has now opened up its own site to promote the film.

This is the link: http://marvel.com/fantasticfour_rise

A few interesting things;

  • It lists the running time as 1 hr 46 minutes
  • Doug Jones gets billing as the Silver Surfer :yay:
  • Julian McMahon doesn't get a mention :csad: (guess they're really hiding his appearance, other than that one gallery shot)
It looks like it's still a work in progress.

Yeah Matt said that over on the runtime thread earlier today....its also on the movies mainsite...

All this does is make the coin more valuable. They're over $75 a pop on eBay now. I was hoping to get one without spending a ridiculous amount. Oh well...

^ Exactly somebody over at the Fox marketing dept should get a raise. This has brough even more attention and awareness to the film.
