God, I hope we get to see more of this in the film. It's often regarded as his greatest weapon, the fear that he inspires.

Indeed, Fear is Batman's greatest tool and I also hope to see Batfleck utilizes it on the criminals of Gotham.

Given how he treated Superman in Strikes Again! I think it's clear he has no affinity for Superman whatsoever. To me that should mean you shouldn't be allowed to write that character. I think it's fair to say that Batman's god complex about Superman in those Miller stories is Miller's own complex.

I'm excited about Darkseid's invovlement in the Knightmare stuff but I'm guessing he'll just be referenced by name because I doubt he'll be shown or even heard. A shadow on a rock or something of his body might be possible though

Interesting to note that is something Clark brings up in the trailer, concern for civil liberties but also about people in Gotham living in fear of the Batman. That could be interesting to explore and echoes some things from Kngdom Come, where it's noted Gotham might be safe in that Elseworlds tale, but that Batman is getting borderline fascist and heavy handed in his attempt to scare the wicked.

Honestly, I stop reading comics by early 1980s and it wasn't until the mid-1990s that I started to check out some mostly in the shops while travelling. I was intrigued by the "Knightfall" series and that was when I came across some back issues of some Miller's Batman like The Dark Knight Return. The one thing that I immediately noticed was the tone of comics --these were catered to more adult market and Batman was becoming more like a borderline Punisher. And yes right from bat (sic) I detected Miller's madcap reverence of Batman.

I'm just truly hoping that we actually do get Darkseid. The glimpses we've gotten of the Knightmare/apocalyptic sequence have been the thing that has intrigued me most in this movie. Obviously I'm excited for the film itself and the plot with Batman being at odds with Superman, but from the first time I saw the "desert Batman" emerging from the bunker and later on with the glimpses at what looked to be Parademons and now this Omega symbol I'm just
