I don't know there always seems to be excuses to not let women or black directors direct any big budget features. I feel like if a woman is suggested people feel like she's not right for the gig automatically. Not everyone feels that way but a large chunk seem too. That's bothersome to me.

I'd be fine with Bigelow actually. Heck if Jolie knocks Unbroken out of the park and gets nominated for best director this year as potentially rumored, I'd be fine with her too actually. Cuaron is just a dream choice for me.
I would have issues with Tyler Perry though.:cwink:

I'm skepticial of the Angelina Jolie hype, we will see what happens.

The trailer seems super polished is all I am gonna say. The final product could still be sub-optimal, sure, but if it's not then Jolie will have proven she can handle a fairly large sized production with VFX and a big cast. Granted, the film HAS to deliver above all else. Check out the latest trailer to judge for yourself if there is a hint of something there.m

This meme depresses me because this image actually appeared in a Spider-man film.

SM3 is still better than ASM2 though

Sony, just let the MCU handle Spidey, what're you doing...?

On the topic of the BvS teaser, i see it being released with The Hobbit, that'd be a genius move

Many people have said this, but I wholeheartedly disagree.
imo the Venom scenes alone make SM3 better than that POS. i know everyone hates TopherVenom but i didn't, Brock's motivation in that movie was better than it ever was in the comics or animated shows. Brock was a blonde skinny dude in SM3 but that didn't bother me.. I couldn't even finish ASM2...

i still watch ASM from time to time, tho i think it would've been better if it was just a sequel to SM3

Back to BvS tho...not trying to derail this thread

Spidey 3 is better. The Birth of Venom scene and Birth of Sandman scenes alone is better then both TASM1 and TASM2.

On topic, after rewatching the AOU trailer, I realized how sad the fact that for Batman and Superman's first team up film and Wonder Woman's first on screen appearance, Jesse Eisenberg is the villain.

I don't care, I just still don't like Jesse as the villain and I will never get use to it.

It is the B&R of the Spider-Man franchise... Okay maybe not that bad. How about the Superman IV... Never mind.

Superman 4 killed off Superman films for almost 20 years.

The Age of Ultron trailer didn't really impress me, maybe I'm a cynic... I've been more impressed with the Interstellar trailers though.

What I dont even

Levi you do understand that Jesse isn't the only villain in the movie right... it's most likely going to be Lex and Doomsday or Lex and Metallo

Because both SM3 and TASM2 received mixed responses the SM3 fan will goad the TASM2 fan, thinking the 'worst movie everrrr' mantle has now been passed. That they can breathe a sigh of relief. And the TASM2 fan will goad the SM3 fan in a way to say "well, my movie wasn't as bad as yours, it didn't have a street dance." And so it goes on, back and forth. :funny:

It's a shame that such s****y Spidey movies exist so that this has to happen.

First off, Doomsday is a mindless beast who has never shown any intelligence.

Secondly, Metallo would interest me if Batman and Wonder Woman weren't involve. I mean I feel like because they are involved, I see no reason why Supers has trouble against Metallo.

WB needs to release a two minute trailer entirely consisting of EisenLex and a Batman villain arguing on whether or not its Bat season or Kryptonian season

Well, I'll take cheesy Electro lines, a minute and a half of hammy Paul Giamatti, Green Goblin having a bad hair day, and Dr. Kafka over Peter the Chubby Emo Dancer, Kirsten Dunst's singing, flying Sandman's magic locket that appears in his hand in every scene he's in to remind us that he's "not a bad guy", and Bernard the Butler's convenient revelation...any day of the week.

You really can't get into the idea of Doomsday vs the proto Justice League? That really sucks you can't get into the idea. Same with Hal. The GL appeal is Sinestro vs Hal, but that's lost on some people...

Doomsday along with Lex would be a more than formidable threat, that sounds amazing to me. Yes Doomsday is a mindless brute, that's why he's in a movie with Lex freakin Luthor!

Films released in different years are not competition for each other. If AoU makes zero or $10B it doesn't mean BvS can't still totally flop or become the biggest film ever. When BvS was supposed to be coming out on the same day as Cap 3 then competition was relevant. As it stands as long as they release away from each other there's no reason why each of the studio's main event team films can't set records every year.

I still doubt Doomsday has any role in BvS whatsoever. If he does, I will eat my words when the time comes.

I'd rather get a 5 day trailer of just Lex Vs Batman in a chess match.

A cynic would be an understatement. You flat out hate the Marvel Movies as much as I hate what there doing with DC.

I'm curious what leads you to believe there some big bad grand villain in the movie?
