Okay, we can accept gods with superpowers among us if they're aliens, but we can't accept them if our ancestors didn't have the knowledge to call them aliens instead of "Gods??"

The Thor explanation. I'm fine with that, just give us a reason to believe beyond "There just gods, deal with it."

 As far as I'm concerned, team magic.

I don't like the Thor explanation...I dont like it in the Thor movies and I am against WB copying Marvel.

yeah, they can't just cop marvel's take. leave it to the imagination, team magic

I think we all know team Snyder is going go down the "grounded" route.

There's practically nothing in magic that can't be understood or achieved through science. It may require some imagination and a lot more knowledge than we currently have, but it's out there.

It's not that they are saying "They're gods, deal with it"
They are giving us a more rounded universe. A universe of science and of magic. By saying magic exists it saves them from making convoluted explanations down the road for magic based characters. There are some characters that are pure magic characters...like Dr Fate or Shazam...should they becomes science based characters? How would you feel if someone took a science based character and made them pure magic?

I thought we were being super civil, especially consider this is the SHH forums...

whille this is true it doesnt mean there is no magic...since we already have several magical characters appearing and set to appear.

We're really arguing semantics. When Grammy claps her hands to turn on the lights in her room, she calls it the Clapper. When she was younger, she would have called it magic.

I don't how'd I'd feel, but It's safe to say it won't happen anytime soon. It's harder to convert science to magic because that's like saying let's take something we kind of understand and turn it into something unexplainable. Cyborg is science based, it's harder to take that backwards into the supernatural then push Thor from supernatural to high advanced alien race.

Again just my opinion.

That doesn't mean magic will be explained by science. That means that this conversation is going to be in the movie. "Is it hard to believe that the daughter of a pagan god is one of controversy."

This is how they could handle it, with some of the population believing it's just tech, and another thinking Diana has true magic, while the issue is left intentionally ambiguous.

That feel the most likely, and weirdly enough mirrors the thoughts of the posters here on the SHH forums. WE WERE RIGHT FOR ONCE, WHEN NO ONE IS RIGHT WE ARE ALL RIGHT!

So, if WW just appears without explaining her giant leaps and strength, and magical lasso etc, you would have a problem with that? The only explanation I need would be 'I'm an amazon Goddess''..:woot:

Not really. This is the "Magic is just science we dont understand" explanation that Marvel is doing. There is a frame of thought that WB can just do fulll on magic to further separate itself from other CBM universes...no one else is really doing magic based superheroes.

No, even just "I have access to tools your kind couldn't understand".
It implies more under the surface than just godly apparatus.

it may be ambiguous in BvS but I dont see it staying that way in WW
