I guess he doesn't have a lot to smile about here, given that most of the world treats him like a Messiah, while the rest treat him like the Anti-Christ.

Bale was in the cave without his cowl in Begins.

Technically not "hanging down", as he just pulls the whole thing off in the scene, but he IS in suit without cowl in the cave.

I think he will at the end of the film, right now they're focusing on a fight between Batman and Superman. I think to see him smiling might take away from what they're trying to get across. I think it's also important to remember that this isn't as they have put it "your daddy's Superman". It ps more in line with Superman the Animated Series, he's a very serious man and doesn't smile as often as he has in previous incarnations.

And I want to see it hanging down. Like Nite Owl 2 in Watchmen.
Always loved the idea that he could take the cowl off and put it back on like a hood.

Not taking it off like a helmet, or ripping that thing apart.

I mean that's kinda silly though. I'd rather they focus more on presenting conflict of the film accurately than worry about appeasing a bunch of fans who wanna get their jollies off.

I am not sure...seems too high up to be the manor, unless Manor got some powers

I think it's most likely Darkseid troops (in ships). True, DS is almost always associated with Boom tubes, but doesn't mean he doesn't have any ships.

I was also thinking of Watchtower, but it's too big (of course, this is also assuming that there would be a League in the Knightmare future).
