"Since when does he like anything? lol."
It sounds like you're mocking him to me.
If anything, I'm making an observation and mocking the pattern.

Also I'm watching The X-Files and the spot they showed was the same Knightmare spot we've already seen.

i`m loving batfleck so much man. People are asking why is he acting like this, well i mean you have a superman who still has to establish himself as a hero we know and love in the eyes of the public, which seems like hes doing so now in bvs. His journey as superman has just begun so the world is still divided over him (both within the dceu and in our reality) especially after the events of mos. Then on top of that you have a frank miller inspired batman who has already lost a robin and probably blames himself for his death and has witnessed the destruction of his wayne building because of a fight between superman and zod, so of course he`s going to act like this. You know, i`m one of those guys who are actually going to side with both of these heroes. That way, you enjoy the movie alot more :d
It's a crazy idea, but I've never thought Batman was crazy for doing it, if that makes sense.
Personally, I hate those interpretations. In my mind, Batman is a rational individual who's firmly on the side of good. He's human, so he's capable of being consumed by his own rage, but I'd be very uninterested in seeing him like that all the time.

Thats kind of Batman's thing though. I'm all for different opinions but on this one it sounds like it's the character you don't jive with and not so much the characterization they're portraying.

Because cosplaying as a Bat is rational?

The very idea of Batman is motivated by emotion, or did you forget the whole "My parents are dead" thing?Where I'm a coming from is Batman is a more relatable character to me if it isn't pure rage and paranoia the fuels him. The character to me is better when he's using his brains not his emotions.
It doesn't make sense.
And he's been written differently for just as long. Sometimes within the same periods, as other writers come on and leave their stamp on the character. Those interpretations? He's been that way for decades.
Um, I'm not. I thought it was obvious I was detailing my own personal preferences for how the character should be portrayed. And no one is saying he's ONE way "all the time". Not sure why you would even assume that.
No gonna lie, not really liking demented Bruce Wayne.
I'm a Batman guy through and through, I've seen countless variations over the years in various mediums, some I like some, I don't like. The one thing for certain is there isn't one particular take on the character, and what I feel from reading in here is that some people seem to think there is only one.
PHP:
I could equally make patterns for some people here but I'm not that childish.
Sure it does. He wants to intimidate criminals, so he dresses up as a boogeyman. He's no crazier than any other hero.
True, but Batman does seem pretty synonymous with anger and he is pretty renowned for it. However I see where you're coming from, he's supposed to be older and wiser I.E. A thinker who is very calculated and not a red hot rookie who gets emotional. But I have to say that if an alien came and leveled a city during a brawl with another alien, it could rattle someone even of Batman's caliber.I'm a Batman guy through and through, I've seen countless variations over the years in various mediums, some I like some, I don't like. Boyscout, I think perhaps you favor Nolans batman, and that's cool. That's a great batman too.
But the batman that comes from the comics world has a long history of being irrational.

That's clearly not true because plenty of superheroes don't do that. Namely the other guy in the movie. Superman wears a colorful Kryptonian uniform. He's not dressing up as an animal or trying to be a "boogeyman".
I never said otherwise. Again: I was explaining my personal favorite interpretation of the character. In no way did I imply that others don't or shouldn't exist.
Batman has been written as borderline insane before, but he's also been written as a fairly well-adjusted man.
I guess I'm just saying I LIKE this Bruce Wayne because he's more interesting. When Bruce is written as a 'well adjusted man' the story treats him more like James Bond, and that's always good for classic BAT ACTION. But complex Bruce is just one I favor
Fine, I'll expand on that a little more. I am fully aware that emotion is a big factor in Bruce being Batman, the drive and determination from his parents death. What I don't like is when he's written as unhinged, where his emotions are getting the better of him. I don't like that particular take on the character because it sometimes makes him look no better than the criminals he's facing, and frankly I want the character to be better than that. I hope that's sufficient.
