Is this the part where we pick sides and pretend to be enemies while talking **** to the other side? If so, we need a couple #team threads before this one devolves into pointless dick measuring.

That guy actually mentioned something that wasn't revealed until today in the latest EW piece.

He said that Batman uses a kryptonite spear and has Superman at his mercy.

Depends how it's played out but just reading it not a huge fan right now. I do not want that one man who beat you line either.

I think it's odd wanting or expecting Trigon refferences in this or any film leading up to a Justice League and not Titans film. X can get a pass though since all X wants above all things is a live action Raven. ;)

My sodium level is right where it needs to be. :)

Yeah but a reference is nothing. Think about all the references in MOS which were cool easter eggs for us but no one else would pay no mind too. (like Krypton having the broken moon)

I love the Trigon storyline so having a moment I can geek out over is always nice. That doesnt mean it HAS to happen down the line, but the idea that it COULD is something I think is cool so a nod would be nice.

I'm really excited by the notion that there are multiple visions by multiple characters, and the hints of Darkseid, as it, I hope, will help explain some of the out of character aspects of Bruce's thinking.

Namely, the "if there's even a 1% chance. . . we have to take it as an absolute certainty" crap.

That's not how Batman works.
Yes, he plans for even the most remote possibility, and is always prepared, but he doesn't preemptively put those plans into action before that 1% chance ever happens.

I'm hoping that Bruce's thinking is being influenced by Darkseid, or his coming presence, etc.

I like where they've positioned the character to push him in this direction, and the possibility of Luthor manipulating in the background, but it should take more than a Bat-mid-life crisis to push Bruce to the point of actually considering crossing that line.

With the way that spoilers are coming in, we may know for sure by noon tomorrow. :funny:

About the "Dream Sequence"

The film is laced with dream sequences for both Batman and Superman that hint at dangers to come – including the possible appearance of DC’s galactic ultra-villain Darkseid. The Flash (played by Miller) appears in one such nightmare of Bruce Wayne’s, delivering a cryptic message to the Dark Knight.

Fans will have to debate whether it was really a dream, or maybe the kinetic hero breaking through time-space to deliver a warning. Synder calls this “a giant Easter egg” that he hopes will spawn plenty of online theories. “We had such a straightforward narrative, on one hand, I wanted this other layer of the movie to be complicated and bizarre,” he says.

Could the visions be related to
the Life Equation on Earth and the Anti-Life Equation that Darkseid is searching for
?

Where the hell are people getting these spoilers from?

"Next time they shine your light in the sky, don't go to it. The Bat is dead, bury it. Consider this mercy." sounds very condescending and hypocritical imo. Don't throw stones if you love in a glass house... Supes is a vigilant too.

That line is delivered with a sort of out of character uncomforableness. Superman does not feel good about himself threatening someone. It's a values clash for him: threatening a human being and watching another human being (batman) go around hurting people.

Cavill delivers that line with the awkwardness absolutely reflective of how Superman would and should deliver it.

Tbh I think it's gonna be in there

But now I'm worried I've read to much but I can't stop reading :csad:

About the mass murder.

It's during the Congress hearing. Scoot McNairy's character, reportedly named "Wallace", is called to testify. Luthor has covered his medical expenses after he lost his legs in the Battle of Metropolis, and apparently embedded a bomb in Wallace's wheelchair, which goes off while Superman is giving his statement, killing Wallace, Senator Finch and multiple other politicians, police officers, military personnel, journalists and civilians, all which are blamed on Superman. It's the incident that pushes Batman over the edge in believing Superman must be dealt with before he directly or indirectly causes more destruction.

Source?

Did you not read Tower of Babel? Bruce plans for every possibility even when he KNOWS it wont happen. Been that way for years now. (and is why I always found stories featuring him boring...he is a *****e)
