I take it you watched the Oscars this year.

Guy on IMDb...

On Zack Snyder: It's his best by far.Take this from someone who has Watchmen on DVD.

On Cavill: Well i think it's a great improvment, that Cavill was the MPV and that Terrio's work is very obvious.Eisenberg and Afleck were both great.Make of that what you will.My review of MOS is among the replies btw.

Is there any reason to take this guy more seriously than anyone else?

on how is Doomsday:
Awesome

I was kinda dreading this question because i am about to give an answed that i will be flamed for.Honestly...it matched TDK.It was actually more enjoyable but i want to see how it holds with repeat viewings.

If John Stewart is the GL, then JL is over represented with African Americans as a percentage of American demographics by 2%. There needs to be more diversity but it shouldn't focus solely on African Americans.

And I hate getting involved, but there are many races and cultures that are actually under represented in film.

Nah. But he didn't post any spoiler. Plus I have seen his previous mostly credible posts, additionally he had advertised the fact he was going to the screening days before.

Could just be a slick way to troll. Could be legit. I'll just wait 2 more weeks.

Lol at overrepresentation. That's a good thing. It means minorities are getting regular work. I want this for all minorities by the way. Gimme an Asian Hal Jordan. My body is ready.

You already know he's talking founders lol. Why blitz him with B and C listers?

Cuz it's silly to say it's a shame the original seven founders had only one woman and act like the League never expanded and diversified. And let us be clear, the League is bigger than the founders. League stories have OFTEN had multiple women. Go back to the satellite days and you will find Zatanna, Black Canary, Hawkwoman and Sue hanging out. Detroit League? Vixen, Vibe and Gypsy. JLI? Fire, Ice, Catherine Colbert, Sue again, Powergirl, Dr. Light... Morrison? The guy that re-established the seven? Welp he put Big Barda and Huntress right alongside Diana.

In the source there is already ample examples to prove his contention false is all. Acting like reading a couple of issues that happens to only have the seven members of the founding reflects the full history of the JLA seems silly to me.

Oh frickin heck, don't be taking IMDB message board posters seriously.

I have to admit I always find it puzzling when people talk about "representation" when Hispanic/Latino Americans make up like 17% of the population, but people are angling for another black character with the argument of representation. It's odd that the same people shouting for representativity aren't calling for a Hispanic character, as they should be if adherence to the American demographic distribution is their main port of call.

The more I see the topic the more I realize it isn't about actual representation, it's about a black vs white spectrum.

Except he explicitly stated where it's over-representation. One minority at the expense of another isn't a "good thing". And for whatever reason few people actually seem to be worried about representation rather than getting more black characters. There's a slightly worrying erasure of every other minority other than black when it comes to these discussions, not that I'm accusing you of it but it seems to be prevalent.

Well I agree with you on the subject on other races and culture that are under represented. But it obviously wouldn't focus solely on African-Americans, that's not my point, but as you said there needs to be more diversity.

Nah, that's not what it's about at all. That's just what Chris Rock made it about. It really is just about women and minorities getting more quality roles.

You need to know how to filter out the fakes from the credible posters. This guy is quite credible. But don't take my words, just keep a healthy skepticism.

Or maybe it's as simple as black people want to see more black characters, and are more inclined to mention black representation before any other race, just as I'm sure women or other ethnic groups are more inclined to trump representation of their own, if the mood arises.

But don't let me stop the casual dismissal of the representation of one group because it's believe to be nullified by the lack of representation of other groups. Because everyone must trumpet every concern at once, or else they're just 'baiting'. Not like that's an easy way to dismiss any concern at all.
