No, really. I just don't like that idea very much. A lot of what I have seen of her in The Animated Series and many other comics seems too corny and cartoony for Nolan's films (although she would have felt right at home in Burton's). Not to mention the fact that it looks as if all of Nolan's Batman outings are going to be pretty heavy on story with lots of characters in the background. I'd rather have increased development for far more important characters like Batman/Bruce Wayne, the Joker and especially Gordon and Dent than waste precious screentime on Harley.

Just my two cents.

No, you aren´t. Quinn worked well in the world of TAS but she doesn´t quite fit Nolan´s bat-world, I think.

I never liked the idea of Joker having a steady girlfriend, no matter how twisted and abusive the relationship was... Bruce can´t hold a griflriend but Joker can? How pathetic that makes him look?

Yeah, I loved her on TAS but I just don't think that she could work in a serious atmosphere. Plus it would just be too soon. The Joker should at least start out solo.

Never cared much for her outside the world of TAS. She is Dini's character, and I always thought it was a mistake taking her outside the Timm and Dini-verse.

I dont want her in TDK, but I think she could be crucial in the next film by being the one who breaks out Mr. J.

i woont mind cuz its not like shes gonna be like the one in the animated series......

I love the character, but you're not the only one not wanting her in TDK. I don't see how you can get her to credibly fit into the Begins' universe without it looking comic-booky.

agreed

I don't think Harley Quinn as she's meant to be would work in Nolan's series. Which is fine, doesn't matter to me if she's not in it.

Harley prolly won't even be in this series, so there's really nothing to be worried about.

With that said, all of you that said Harley wouldn't work in a serious take didn't really seem to grasp the character at all. Idk how many times CConn's brilliant post on the character has to be posted...

I agree that she should stay in the cartoon only. Keep her, along with Robin and Batgirl far away from Nolan's interesting work.

It won't bother me if she isn't in, but I think she'd fit in perfectly.

No, you aren't.

I have no problems with Quinn, but I just don't want to see her untill 3rd movie.

Joker should be a lone bastard :D

i don't want a full on harley, but i just like the idea this woman who is professional and trained to deal with these people just losing it and becoming obsessed (sexually and otherwise) with the joker. it's just a cool idea and demonstrates that the joker isn't just another lunatic, he's something worse. she doesn't have to be dressed in a clown outfit and all that s**t, but the idea of joker's therapist falling in love with him is really twisted and awsome and i think nolan could work wonders with it.

The Official Harley Quinn Thread:hq:

Agentsands77:
"Can I say that I don't want to see Harley Quinn? Not only is she a weak character that offers very little of interest in comic form, she's remarkably inappropriate for Nolan's world"

So, no you're not...

She doesn't need to be in this film, and she won't be.

If some have in mind tooning it up with their unbreachable traits of harley then Fenrir you are definitely not alone. I dont see anything wrong with joker having female help who has a street name of Harley Quinn (harlequin), but her real name id change, along with the outfit to be more.. Nolan.

See the problem I see with Harley Quinn is that I view The Joker to be a villain along the lines of Hannibal Lecter from Silence of the Lambs and John Doe from Se7en, in that he is just as much dangerously sick and twisted as he is ingeniously unpredictable. The very idea of subscribing a female sidekick or even lover to such an antagonist is the cinematic equivalent of blasphemy in my opinion.:(

I don't much like Quinn, especially for TDK, but there is a certain thematic element to Joker (evil) being able to have a girlfriend and Batman (good) not. In that it has a deeper sentiment to it, evil and instant satisfaction, good and giving up certain luxuries...

...but still, no.

Batman can have a goverment tank, im sure joker can have a girlfirend, he is still a guy now.

I got a bit annoyed with Harly after a while. She started hogging the Joker's limelight and made him almost "human".
