Am I the only one who is actually pleased with Green Arrow?

It's only been one day, and already, so many complaints about it not being Batman etc etc. Now Batman is my second favorite super hero, but you won't hear me complaining about the situation. You have people swearing up and down that violins in an orchestrated piece, automatically make the song, a rip off of the Batman theme. Yes, Oliver Queen used to be the shadow of Batman in every way immaginable, but obviously, none of you so much as research the thorough history, or the recent history, of the character. Green Arrow was revived by Kevin Smith, almost three years ago. The changes that the character have been through (combined with the 70's characterization during Green Arrow/Green Lantern) make him nearly unique, from Batman. DC has a lot of rich, powerless super heroes. Or at least it used to. But still, from Mr.Terrific, to Ted Kord to Booster Gold...the DCU is filled with rich guys with nothing better to do, than fight crime in a costume. Yes Batman was the mold, but ultimately, it is indifferent. Unless Green Arrow did something bad, or some how made the story worst (which I feel it has not) there is little to no reason to complain. Yes we all would love to see the revival of a live action Batman television series, but if Smallville is not that place, then folks...get on with your lives. The inclusion of Green Arrow, introducing a take on the Justice League, is the reason why I came back to watching Smallville (Season 5 is the only Smallville season, in which I have not seen every episode). But then again, maybe I am just easier to please.

i thought the green arrow was good. I didn't really see any batman and the music wasn't batman either it was way different. And the voice olliver put on was good i mean oliver's voice recognisable like bruce so its obvious that you change. Clark does when he's older.

i really like the GA on smallville. i have to admit that i know nothing about the GA comics, so i have nothing to compare it to but for me they're doing a great job with his character.

I absolutly loved the "Arrow" Episode and I hope to see more of this during this season. Can´t wait for "Justice".

I loved the Green Arrow....

Justin Hartley is awesome and I love the character they've created. I don't care whether or not he's like he is in the comics. I like him how he is in Smallville.

In "Sneeze" he didn't convince me, but in the two episodes after that, I'm thinking he's quite a better actor than I originally gave him credit for.

Hollywood North Report

And then well see the difference between Bruce & Oliver [Bruce being The Better one.]

Don't count on it, KE8...

It has one fairly major error and several important omissions, usually a sign that said rumor is a hoax.

Like that report a few years back that Tom Welling would be in Batman Begins.... online comic book outlets reported it like it was real, it was all based on a doctored cast call sheet.

I think it's a hoax until more reputable outlets report it as confirmed, I wouldn't hyperventilate over this.

It seems that I am the only one who's actually NOT pleased with Green Arrow.

They should change the name of the thread. lol

Doh, I forgot about that. They had egg on their faces after that one.:oldrazz:

Arrow was a really cool episode and a nice way to introduce Green Arrow into the Smallville universe.

When was it proved it was a hoax? It still could be true with the rumored footage ending up on the cutting room floor - or in somebody's closet?

<- having fun.

I'm actually not at all concerned with Bruce Wayne appearing or not. I'm not really concerned about the appearence or lack there of, of any super hero chaacter in this show. I am however, pleased to see the ones that they do bring into the show. Considering the lack of supervillains from the actual books (excluding Zod and Lex), it's nice to at least see the heros appearing. Also, my two suggestions

1)Two graphic novels worth reading are Quiver and Sounds of Violence. Both are Green Arrow graphic novels, written by Kevin Smith. You don't have to worry about too much continuity, because they are relaunch books. They don't reboot anything, but they are written in an accessible way, so that the deeper history, doesn't interfere with reading the stories now.

2)Check out the Aquaman pilot episode (Mercy Reef) Justin Hartley is in that as well (along with Ving Rhames and Lou Diamond Phillips). The pilot on it's own is entertaining, but as a whole, it can show Justin Hartley's flexibility as an actor.

nah, they can't have batman in the justice because at this time he's going after joe chill or is out travelling the world trying to leanr about the criminal fraternity.
