Am I the only one who is actually pleased with Green Arrow?

Oh absolutly, he's much better as Ollie than as Arthur. Overall I think Hartley is a much better actor than the guy who played Arthur on SV but that guy had a more similar look to Arthur and he nailed a little better Arthur's traits than Hartley (who basically played him as just another cool guy). Not that the other guy didn't but he seemed to have done better research for the role, I think.

I never watched Smallville until I randomly saw an ep this season and because of Green Arrow, I'm hooked. I really hope they make him a series regular or give him his own show. He is a great character and Justin Hartley is gorgeous and very charming, you can't help but like him.

I don't know. I personally think it could work. He's a billionaire, so already that helps set it apart from Smallville. He's got an actual secret identity to protect. You can do political-esque stories. There's no high school drama stuff to deal with. Mix in a few DC guests every now and then (with Dinah Lance playing a big part in Ollie's life).

It could work. Plus, with Mercy Reef those underwater effects were EXPENSIVE.

that and every new series that the CW had this year has ****canned. they're desperate for another big show.

It's amazing to me going around to all the different boards and reading the comments by all the people who came to Smallville because of Hartley/GA. Apparently JH has quite a fanbase from his days on Passions. It's cool to read all the people that have discovered the show due to him. The guy's had a positive effect on the show in both content and viewership. People in "high places" have to be noticing this.

i really like the GA on smallville. i have to admit that i know nothing about the GA comics, so i have nothing to compare it to but for me they're doing a great job with his character.

This guy is hilarious, but not in a good way. I hated him at first because his acting was so bad and wooden like he was just fresh off a soap opera and told to act like a comicbook superhero. you could tell he wasn't very comfortable yet with the show.

Has he gotten a little better? somewhat. I just hate how he's not really doing more than reading lines at times, not seeming as natural as the rest do by now.

What I thought was funny though was during the last episode when he's supposed to act really funky, his bad acting actually helped make his character look a bit crazy. I was surprised and thought wow he's good... I wonder if they did this intentionally...

But he's getting better. i like him.
