Alex Ross' is definitely the best cover though.
I'll reserve judgement until after I see the John Romita Sr variant.

So my question: do I buy the thing to support marvel doing something I love or am I a hypocrite if I do?

I'm a bit torn here. Obviously my boycott of things peter parker is still in place (helped greatly by making Spider-Man so unlikable) but that said.....what they're doing with 600 and only raising the price slightly is really a counter to what comics seem to be doing recently (giving you less and asking for more money) and I want to support that. Plus making Ock more of a threat is definately a win. Now that said, they seem to be sticking MJ in the issue which would promise to be awkard as all hell and would probably pull me right out of the story. So my question: do I buy the thing to support marvel doing something I love or am I a hypocrite if I do? Or will the inclusion of marriages and MJ just feel so forced and off putting I'll just hate the thing midway?

Issue #600 of Amazing Spider-Man will be a huge, massive issue. According to the panel, Marvel is doing something that no one has done before, which is to do a super-sized issue that has a 60-page lead story written by Dan Slott and drawn by John Romita, Jr. In addition to that, there will be numerous 5-page stories by the rest of the Spider-Man writers. Then, also, there will be a 10-page story from Stan Lee himself. It will be a 104-page comic of all new material for only $4.99, and the story will thrust Spider-Man into his next year.
Wow, simply fantastic!Got this from Slott's forum at jinxworld.com.

I guess we can safely presume from the statement "and the return of one of the most important people in Peter Parker's life" pretty much means it's going to be Mary Jane. And based on this solicit for the Annual:
I guess it pretty much clinches it--Aunt May and J. Jonah Jameson Sr. are the ones getting married. After all, if his most important wedding day was when he was getting married to MJ, then certainly his Aunt May getting married would be second, right? Not to mention if J. Jonah Jameson becomes his new cousin and thus family, that would certainly make Peter cringe.
I can't help but think how much more compelling and entertaining this would be if May still knew Peter was Spider-Man . . .
