That's not always the case, you can every now and then get good one. More like 95% of all DTDVD movies suck.

Haven't seen one yet, though I will say Man-Thing had good effects for a direct to DVD movie.

Well..if I remember right...like part 2 was suppose to be part 1. Or the main character played by Jason Scott Lee was suppose to be in part 1, but ended up in the sequels instead. I actually own all three and like them. Not great, but ok movies. The 3rd film even has the original treatments for all three films as an extra on the dvd.

I ran across one of these film companies on the internet called "Asylum Productions", all they make is completely, but legal, ripoffs. It's absolutely pathetic. Here's a few of the films they've made.

The Da Vinci Treasure- garbage released 4 days after The Da Vinci Code

Hillside Cannibals- Hills have eyes anyone?

Snakes on a Train- released 3 days before SoaP, nothing else needs to be said

Pirates of The Treasure Island- Now this is laughable and pathetic

No...I saw two other Cube movies, but not Cube: Zero. Dracula 2000 sucked, so I avoided the sequels.

From Dusk Till Dawn 3 surprised the hell out of me. It was actually a decent DTV movie. Just would have been a lot better without that stupid dance scene that came from out of nowhere.
