Well the film hasn't actually done bad. It made 3 million on Monday.I dont think this movie did bad because of the black cast.
I think the leak hurt it a lot and the buzz wasnt that good.
Mojo has it making at least $80m, with the possibility of $100m. Christmas season works differently at the box office.I was the impression it wasnt doing well.
With a budget of 65 mill I guess their banking on overseas gross because I dont see this making it far past 65 mill domestically
Domestically.100 m internationally or just domestically
Again, Christmas season works differently. Each day is higher then usual.I guess we'll see. I just don't see it.
I rarely hear anyone talking about it and Into the Woods is about to grab that musical audience and Night of the Museum has that family crowd
So you know better then the people who do this for a living? Okay...Christmas season or not I don't see this making that much money domestically to be considered a success. Even if it hits 100 m. That's on a budget of 65 mill not counting marketing.
How big is Little Orphan Annie overseas?
What exactly is your opinion based off? I told you Mojo has it doing just fine with its current numbers. This isn't a mega blockbuster. $65m would usually be easily covered with something in the mid-$160m. If this movie makes $85m domestically, it should me more then ok unless it completely bombs worldwide.I didnt say that I knew better than anyone. I was simply stating my opinion. Don't know why it rubbed you the wrong way
What is etc? Commercials and billboards are standard practice. They didn't spend $100m on this, probably not even half that. At least a bit of which was covered by some corporate deals. My opinion is based on what I saw. I saw a lot of marketing. Commercials, billboards, etc. It was a pretty hyped movie from what I saw. I imagine that it wasnt cheap even if it wasnt a lot
And I know that it's not a big blockbuster. That is very clear. Im saying if this makes 85 mill that they'll have to rely on WW gross. That's why I asked how big Annie is overseas.
