I thought the big reveal of the villain was a little lame. Good twist, because I didn't see it coming, but a little lame nonetheless.

I'm willing to give the story a chance to explain how this all came to pass, but it'll have to be a damn good reason to keep me interested.

I'm willing to give the story a chance to explain how this all came to pass, but it'll have to be a damn good reason to keep me interested.

I'll admit PhotoJones had me ready for Kang if that was the option, but I don't mind Ultron at all and in fact I support it. It definitely has my interest.

My biggest concern is how satisfying the story will be with some of the characters from the last go, such as Nova, Drax, Gamora, Silver Surfer, and Galactus off-stage. The characters there are cool, but it may rely on Adam Warlock stepping up, which isn't a lock. But I have faith it will be better than many of the Marvel Universe events that get more attention.

And they've been good on NOVA. They may not match Giffen's parade of "Holy ****!" moments from ANNIHILATION, but I have faith in AC being a good story with a satisfying climax. That's half the battle.

Because that means the chances of a Starlord ongoing are now 0%.

Giffen doesn't necessarily need to write Star-Lord for it to be good. Abnett and Lanning picked Nova up after Annihilation and it turned out pretty good. Someone else could easily write a good Star-Lord comic with the premise Giffen cooked up.
