Ethnocentrism, I guess. I just assumed you were without really thinking about it.

I dunno, its these simple touches that makes your local comic book store...your local comic book store. Mine has the decency and intiative to call (during my lunch period) all its regulars to inform them about delays, saving me the trip to look at last week's back issues.

Mine doesn't. I don't consider it indecent of them, either. I keep myself apprised of shipping changes and such.

I guess it depends on location. I'm guessing yours is around the corner of your neighborhood? Mine is a little out of the way from both my Polytechnic and my home. Quite possibly between them by some distance. Its pretty nice of them to have these touches. Just today my store handed me a Woven comic bag as a smart Economical-Recycling ploy. Not a bad design either.

Not really. They offer pull lists at my shop, but it's just a list of comics you want them to hold for you and a discount. It's not like they offer me anything special beyond that.

Yeah, I guess its because the store I go to only caters to a manageable number of regulars. Sadly there aren't many Western comics fans here in Singapore. It's predominantly Manga-Anime dominated, which is why looking for a Comic store is pretty hard. And expensive when it comes to non-members.

I paid $90 for last week's comics. But I did get Thor and (finally) Scott Pilgrim vol. 2, so it was well worth it.

I can't wait to see the second battle. The first battle took the entire rest of the first volume, which was already awesome, and cranked it up like ten more notches.

Oh please be hiding a giant mecha under that throne, Ronan. The only way for you to be more badass than you are right now is if you were hiding a giant mecha under that throne.

I liked Quasar's sword better when it was awesomely huge. Why is it all puny now? Woman, you're just not getting it. I doubt Moondragon's truly dead; the manner of her death just screams AFK BRB to me.

What else? Pretty damn good issue. Sucks to be Gabe, but pretty damn good issue. We've got all that irritating exposition out of the way and the pieces are set on the board. Now it's just a matter of seeing what sht's gonna blow up and how pretty it's going to be.

I liked Quasar better when she used more than a goddamn sword all the time. Way to limit the quantum bands, 'tardface. Wendell would probably have wrapped this **** up and put Ultron in a cage 2 issues ago.

There's some rambling rumors going on that Wendell (the original Quasar) has some type of return possibly in the Nova Annual due out in February. Details at the CBR Forums, see Stingerman threads.

Maybe, depending if you have a store nearby that over orders comics. At my store, they only order enough for the pulls and maybe 3-4 more for the rack that get bought quick.
