Annihilation Conquest

Wait, did you just imply Portal sucks?

I haven't even heard of Medieval or Romance of the Three Kingdoms. I'm not any "type" other than a "play whatever I find fun" type, though.

I just saying that your a Portal addict. And being a player of Valve games, people tend to look at other games like crap...for no particular reason.

I like CoD4 myself.

Medieval...? As in Total War? Revolutionary micro-management Strategy game? Won RTS of the year a couple of times? Still ringing no bells?

I hate RTSes, so odds are I haven't played it. I haven't really played any RTSes since AoE2.

And I don't look at other games as crap because I'm a Valve fan. I'm hardly a Portal addict, either. I played the game through once and loved it, but I never felt compelled to go back and get all the achievements or anything. I also enjoyed CoD4. I'm playing Burnout: Revenge right now. I enjoy a lot of adventure games, a lot of FPSes, a lot of RPGs, and some beat 'em ups. I just think the Dynasty Warriors franchise is a really boring example of a beat 'em up. It feels really repetitive and dumb to me.

I've been meaning to try that. Never got around to it. I tend to like those goofy games that you only get from the Japanese market because it's so much more diverse than the American gaming market. There was another game, whose name I can't remember, that was about life from the perspective of a fly that I really wanted to play, too.

Katamari makes me want to drink to excess and then fly around the universe.

Cool. It just makes me a little happier than I was before I started playing it.

I like the 18 minute level in We Love Katamari.

I liked the music in the first one better, so We love Katamari was a waste of money for me. I love making people into stars, sumo wrestler stars, dancing pandas, giant codpieces. Man, that game had everything.

Katamari makes me want to drink to excess and then fly around the universe.

I've always played the game sober. The thought never crossed my mind, what a waste.

No fighters amongst you lot? No Capcom, SNK or (God forbid) Dead or Alive fans here???

I never tried Katamari. But I had lots of fun with Okami. The art style of the game was really unique, that watercolor look to it. Shame the difficulty was pretty generic.

I play DW partly because of the real history behind the characters. Yeah they've been sexed up beyond all recognition but behind the facade of neo-coolness, therein lies their true character. ***k, let's just say Luo Guanzhong (the author of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms anthology) owns Tolkien and any other Arthurian-styled writer six days to Sunday. Just pick up the first volume (of the book) and you'll see why.

And Xiahou Dun still owns.

I agree with SF and KOF. DOA is just wrong. Play Tekken. Just kidding. Play whatever makes your blood pump.

First time I played the game (DOA2), I was like "WOW! This game's boob physics is incredible!" back on my Dreamcast. Since all it had to compete with was Tekken 4 (which admitted sucked), I was pretty much hooked to it without truly realising that it was nothing more but a shallow fighting game centred around counters and reversals and a cheap tit show slapped on it.

When Tekken 5 came out, I pretty much converted. I gave DOA4 a twirl on my neighbor's 360. the overpowered reversals were addressed but...it still felt like a cheap tit show. The ninja characters are just too unbalanced. That being said, Lei-Fang is still a hot piece of 3D ass and I'd tap that.

I'm more of a fan of the older school 2D fighters, although I have played the Tekken & Soul Caliber games. As well as other games that aren't fighters. Part of me misses beat-em-up's. Probably why I liked MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE so much. :p

I swore off Marvel games after Rise of the Imperfects. Great concept for characters like Hazmat and Johnny Ohm but suckass gameplay ruined it.

You swore off all Marvel games based on one game by one developer who hasn't even made any other Marvel games since?

I swore off Marvel games because their slapdash with no apparent storyline. Since Seperation Anxiety, I've yet to play a Marvel game I've enjoyed.

Such a shame to miss out on ULTIMATE ALLIANCE for such a silly reason. :o

Wow. Not a fan of Spider-Man 2 or the Legends/Ultimate Alliance franchise?

I liked the Spider-Man game for the PS1/Dreamcast. Where Octo-Carnage was the last boss. That game rocked now that I remember it.

That game was one of the first comic book games that was REALLY good, least to me. Some later efforts do surpass it, though.

I have a fondness for some of the 90's beat-em-up Marvel games. I played all of them. Probably X-MEN the most, where Wolverine could shoot energy beams from his claws for some reason. :p
