Yeah, supposivly it's going to be the game based on the movie which is based on the novels which are based on the game.

I think the movie and novels are just based on the game, and the new game is just an extension of that universe, it isn't the movie, since the movie's game would be the original Halo

There's Halo 3, Halo Wars, and then a game that Peter Jackson and Wingnut Interactive (which I think is a new MGS 1st party, the way they were talking, but I'm not sure) that will "extend the Halo universe". After that they're doing new IPs.

Intellectual Property, basically it means something totally new. When Bungie first did Halo, because it was the first thing to ever take place in the Halo universe, it was a new IP. So they'll basically be doing totally new stuff with Peter Jackson and MGS financial backing.

It's a damn shame the trailer is pe-rendered. If those were in-game graphics, I'd be changing my shorts right now.

Yes, and it's based around our world concepts and uses lots of in-game models. The sound and music were done at Ensemble Studios as well. Props to our friends at Blur for bringing it all together and making it really shine.

So, judging by that, the 360's specs, and Ensemble's amazing past efforts, I'd say that CG trailer isn't far removed from the actual game.

That would be EXTREMELY impressive if they can make an RTS very, very nice looking like the trailer

Since, you know, in most of those rts games that you zoom in, they are worse than n64 models

My mouth literally opened when they showed that Elite. It beats the **** out of the Halo 2 Elite, rapes it, ties it to the back of a Ghost, and drags it along a landscape of jagged rocks.

All under a minute.

What the hell do you mean it doesn't have the media up yet? ALL there is on the game is the trailer and a bunch of useless news posts that say something along the lines of "HALO WARS IS AN RTS DEVELOPED BY BLAH BLAH BLAH".
