If Guardians of the Galaxy can have several lighthearted figures, then why can't Ant-Man? It doesn't need to just be Paul Rudd as Scott Lang with everyone else being the straight man/ woman to him.

Assuming Paul Rudd isn't back to his straight man portrayal as his crew brings the banter.
Hope had enough reasons to be the serious one in the first one.

I imagine Wasp will have Stingers and some other gadgets. I think hand to hand combat will be her main thing mostly though. Lilly has been training a lot and I doubt that will be for nothing.

I think Hope and Hank will probably have a few more comedic moments.

Sean Kleier has been cast in Ant-Man and the Wasp in what they describe in a pivotal, currently-unnamed role. Character details are scarce but he’s said to be a special agent and “the ‘mole’ of the story“.

That Hashtag Show speculates Kleier could be portraying a villain along the lines of Geoffrey Ballard, a character who in the comics was a CIA Special Agent turned super villain, having donned the costumed identity of Centurion. Ballard had ties to Tony Stark’s Iron Man, Bill Foster, and S.H.I.E.L.D.

Klier has become a semi-prominent TV comedy actor in recent years, best known for starring in Odd Mom Out but also having recurring roles in Happyish and Mr. Right.

No idea, but it would be possible if the filmmakers wanted it, just a scheduling issue like they have with many actors or other film crew who are only needed for certain days but have other jobs elsewhere.

There is a hilarious recap of the entire MCU filmography by Rudd and Pena followed by Lilly and Pfeiffer showing up and saying it is a sausage fest. They then crack a joke about how hard it is to go to the toilet in the suit.

We then see some flashes of pre-vis footage mock ups and concept art (Wasp flying around, shrinking van, ant-man/giant-man in action).

I think it would've looked far more striking and eye catching with the middle parts in yellow. And the other parts should've been black instead of dark blue.
