Anubis' "How would you do it?" Thread.

How would you Do Marvel 2?

Okay

Individual titles

Spider-Girl and Tom-Cat
Spider girl in this one takes after her father more. normally an introvert, but put the mask and webs on her and she's a sharp witted little hellion. she can be careless, despite her father's admonishments. she also doesn't take it all as seriously as he'd like she wants to get back to her new boyfriend, a guy who moved into the area recently... a guy named Peter Hardy.

Tom-Cat, unknown to May/Spider-Girl is Peter Hardy. he has more of a hard-line approach. he doesn't quip, he doesn't do mercy. he doesn't kill, but usually maims the hell out of his baddies.

Tom-Cat and Spider-Girl hate each other since they can't understand each other. however, Peter Hardy and May (Nicknamed Mayday for her klutzyness) Parker are deeply in love. that first sight kind of love. Is it destiny? is it fate? who knows.

Hawkeye: the cousin of Frank Castle, infact Castle's only living relative, hates Frank Castle. while Castle did teach the young man a great deal of survival techniques, he also left the name "Castle" tarnished. so this young man takes up a different mantle in an effort to hunt down his "Crazed" cousin. he is extremely skilled in martial arts, archery, and survival/tracking. he has no super-human abilities, but is at the hight of human abilities.

Captain America: Melissa Daigle was an ordinary soldier, solid, true, and loyal to the U.S. Army. then one day, fate intervined. because of her training, loyalty, and proficiency, she was selected to take part in the maintnence of a legacy, no legend. she was slated to become "Captain America". now, she has to deal with sexist army officials, the political whirlwind, and as always, family. oh, and the odd baddie or two.

Avengers: the legacy has changed hands throughout the years landing most recently on the square and ready shoulders of Gertrude Yorkes, or as she is now known "Heroine". she leads a motly crew of heroes who have proven themselves time and again, she also has to judge the worthyness of two new heroes who's namesakes were once a part of the

Cosmic Characters

each of them was strange and unremarkable for the most part. but something occured, right when they should haved died.

Jay Guthrie: Icarus, was in a mine when it collapsed. his body wasn't found because at the last moment, he was removed. he was empowered. he no longer needed air, he didn't need to eat or to sleep. it was a strange enhancment of his original healing ability almost. his wings grew, and began to glow. Icarus had ascended.

Craig Hollis: he's always felt like the universe's Hackey-sack, now that becomes more true. as he buries the last member of his little known band of heroes, the GLX, he tries, again to end his life. for a moment he thinks he's succeeded. no. he has ascended.

James "Logan" Howlett: Wolverine has always had trouble dying. when he misteps, and actually finds himself completely crushed, he is taken away. his skin is replaced by the very metal that lined his bones. his mouth is gone, replaced by a short wave form of telepathy. his claws become more than mere metal... he has ascended

Alex Wilder: years ago, When Alex was a teen, he was the first. the first to become more than human. his fleshed burned away, but his glasses remained... his mind remained, the fire the burned him to ash remained. Wilder no longer looks like the human he once was... he ascended, and has waited.

Wade Wilson: Deadpool, a man with an inhuman healing ablity. he has found himself lost in the stars. he has not ascended, but he travels with them, aiding them... you know, for kicks.

May Jarvis-Parker-Reilly: she was a loving aunt. she spent her life watching over a young boy who's fate it was to save all of humanity. for this she was chosen. she was given a name she never heard of, though she thinks is cute. She, Golden Oldie, has ascended.

In times when the universe is in great need it will choose beings of great potential to ascend to a higher level of being. with the strength to move stars and planets, the power to bend so much of reality, these guardians will protect not New York, not America, not just earth, but our solar system itself from harm. they are the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Icarus: flight, and strength, speed as well.
Mr. Immortal:not as strong as the rest. he cannot die.
Wolverine: Stealth and cosmic Claws
Wilder the Recorder: Cosmic sense, strength, hellfire, he has also been granted the status of elder of the universe.
Golden Oldie: Cosmic awareness, and the ability to see the universe.

Deadpool was swept up in their wake after he was jetisonned in anger from a spacestation.

the place was blank. "They said it would start this year," thought the blazing skeleton as it sat on nothing. he looked back at the solar system he'd been condemed to stay away from, and yet still protect. for him, this was penance. thankfully, he'd been given the gift of sight. so as he looked at the solar system, through his glasses, he was able to see the beings that walked on the third ball of dirt from the star. "She's happier this way," he reminded himself for 250,647,255th time.
suddenly, beside him, there was another. he'd not been near another since Eternity had removed him from the universe. this other looked mostly human. the exception was the sheen to his skin, and his wings. they were a violent reddish purple. they were also the size of parachutes. they didn't seem to be made of substance, but rather of energy. the person himself had a rugged look to him. obviously he'd lived his life with hard labor. "Where am I?" he asked looking around. his eyes settled on the first one, Wilder. "WHO ARE YOU?"
"I am Wilder, the Recorder," said the blazing skeleton wearing glasses. in his hand was a book that, despite the fire and lack of atmosphere, was pristine. it looked aged and thick. "It is my place to record what has gone before, and what will come to pass on earth. Welcome ascension."
"My name's Jay," corrected the winged person. "Jay Guthrie. I also go by Icarus though."
"No," Corrected Wilder absently. "You are AN ascension. you have been granted a new life and a new purpose and a new place in the universe."
Icarus paused. "This is stranger than my time at the Xavier place."
Wilder removed his glasses and formed a smile on his skull, "You should have met my family."
and so a year passed, and Icarus waited with Wilder. Time though, seemed to be less important where they were. Icarus barely noticed the year pass as he became more comfortable with his new form. his powerful cosmic wings were able to bear him to other solar systems in the twinkling of an eye, and other galaxies almost as quickly. but the year did pass, and it was marked with another arrival.
She didn't have flesh. her body was made of gold, even her hair in its tight bun was spun gold. she glowed, but nowhere brighter than from her eyes. as she came to realize her place, she also seemed more at pease than Icarus had. It took Wilder less time to explain to her, her new place than it had Icarus. she actually managed to seem dissapointed, that she had survived her cancer, that she had not died.
"I personally believe this is our death," Wilder said as he wrote in his book while looking at the earth.
"No, to die is to be at peace, to truly have an end. If I were dead I would be with Benjamin," she said. she looked at the two beings before her, the ascensions. "Now, you two seem awfully young," she said. she looked at Wilder as if he had rap sheet she knew about.
"That is only because you have an enhanced sort of Cosmic Awareness," Wilder commented. "You were a mother hen on earth and Eternity seems to wish you to be one out here."
"Well I'm aware enough to know taht you shouldn't use your responsiblity to peep on girls taking showers," she countered. if it were possible, Wilder the Recorder would have blushed.
over the next two years they were joined by Wolverine, who'd died by crushing and ascended to a cosmic being. if Golden Oldie, as May was taking to being called, had adjusted quickly, Wolverine adjusted instantaneously. he said it was because he was a cosmic being before, but Icarus didn't believe him.
they were also joined by Deadpool, much to Wolverine's distaste. he'd been jetisoned from a spacestation by a malicious crew. his healing factor was keeping him alive, but in a state of suspended animation. Golden Oldie took pity on him, and granted him the ability to breath in space, something she didn't even realize she could do.
finally, at the close of the decade they were joined by the final member of their group. he showed up wearing a black suit that quickly gave way to magenta and cyan armor. he wore a simple mask, and looked the plainest of them all. he was called Mr. Immortal. and as Mr. Immortal realized his place, hope swelling in his heart, they were blinked from existance to some place outside of it.
there they met Eternity, in all his glory. he looked down on is gathered five, and the stray they'd picked up. "YOu," he told them. "Will be my guardians. you will protect your galaxy from the great threat that approaches.
"What threat?" asked Mr. Immortal.
"Gannos," answered Eternity. "The son of Thanos and Death. He is powerful, as powerful as one of the Seven Friendless, but not as powerful as the four compass points."
"And why do we need to stop this thing?" asked Wolverine, unsure.
"Because, he seeks to curry his mother's favor by destroying the universe. he is much like his father, with one great exception: Gannos is a cosmic entity in his own right, much like you all are now."
"But why us?" asked Golden Oldie.
Eternity looked each of them in the face. "Golden Oldie, you on Earth held strength within you that could move mountains and put many champions to shame. you taught this strength to one of Earth's greatest Champions. His powers made him super-human, you made him a hero."
"Wolverine, lost for most of your long life, trying to understand who you are, now feel at peace that you are one with the power cosmic."
"Wilder the Recorder, you committed a heinous act in the name of love. prove now that love rules your heart, show not the world, but all of existance."
"Icarus, no peace could you find on your own world. always in the shadow of your siblings. here be free of that shadow, and be true to yourself. let your wings carry you the breadth of the universe, and let your song be sung in all corners of the expanse."
"Mr. Immortal... my poor child. you believe yourself cursed to see the end of all things. you believe yourself to be hated by fate herself, and shunned by death. In this existance you will find a kindred spirit who knows your pain."
"Deadpool, love has given you life, will you walk among these god's, serve them, and protect them?"
And so, for the first time since he'd been jetisioned from the space station, deadpool uttered his first words. "Eh, why not. They Finally canceled Jerry last season, so nothin' good is on."

I got some more Universe 101 characters

John Jupiter - Jupiter was the "Superman", the Frank Sinatra of his time. Founder and leader of the Gaurdians of America for over 20 years, he was and is considered one of the greatest heros in the history of U101. His powers are energy based. Electricity to be exact. He's able to absorb electricity and channel it to increase his strength, durability, enable flight, and fire electric bolts of energy.

He formed the Silver age Gaurdians along side, The Owl, Gunsmith, The Runner, Golden Lark, and the Mentalist in 1963, and they became instant celebrities. Back when he lead the Gaurdians, they had a real Rat Pack feel to them. While John enjoyed the success of being a public hero, he had many personal problems that would later hurt him in his superhero life. Like for instance Jupiter's affair with the Golden Lark, resulting in an illigetimate child he never claimed, and her fall from grace and expulsion from the team. Which resulted in said Offspring later becoming a villian and going after Jupiter and the Gaurdians. Or the rumors that Jupiter was a racist. The fact that a minority wouldn't be added to the group until 1978 when the Laser was accepted in under an affermitve action clause placed by the U.S. government when they took over funding of the group. Or what happened in 1975 with the Super group the Fearless Five of Chicago,IL. Resulting in calls of exsesive force in the case of the death of the African American Superhero called Sampson at the hands of Jupiter during a race riot. Rumors of his bigotry had dogged him for years, but it hit an all time high after that specific event.

He had a son with his wife, Susan before he got his powers. That child had a daughter who after a terrible car accident killing both here mother and father, she needed a blood transfusion. Her Grandfather gave her his blood, resulting in her DNA being transformed and her gaineing powers similer to her Grandad. She became the teenage superhero, Sparks. She would be a founding member of the teenage superhero group, the Rising Stars. (subject to change) And later lead the Gaurdians (Then re-christened the Global Gaurdians) alongside her husband African American superhero, Platinum. By the time the Modern age rolls around, Jupiter is retired, and widowed, but supportive of his granddaughter. (After years of bad blood between them.) He has also reached out to the son he had with Golden Lark, the former Supervillian, [/b]Soundwave[/b] (subject to change).

I was thinking about a series or maybe a mini about an underground newspaper that focus' on superheros. I'm talking in the vain of Marvels but more like underground journalism. Guys trying to get to the truth about these heros and what they do. Uncovering stuff for the world to see that the heros have kept a secret. Like, do the general public really know what went down in Disassembled? Or that Warbird was an alcohalic? Or somebody making a convincing argument that maybe Stark is still running around as Iron Man even though he said he wasn't anymore? You know, stuff like that with really interesting characters trying to uncover the secrets (At least to the general public) of the MU.

Not a bad idea, but wasn't that THE PULSE? I mean, before it was official that it was simply BENDIS COMICS PRESENTS?

Anyway, here's the latest of an idea from me, although it is really nothing too "original". It is really just a relaunch of an old team, which got brought up in online conversations between myself and Cyclops because of the wiggy line up of NEW AVENGERS these days. Basically, they weren't the only Marvel super-team that had a range of bizarrely cast members, a lot of them non A-listers (least until now).

I am basically talking about...THE CHAMPIONS. Only in the spirit of the current trend at Marvel, call them THE NEW CHAMPIONS. I see it as something like Slott/Kirkman/Maguire & DeMattis on a wacky team book. The premise is simple, and would likely have only worked before HOM. Basically, in the name of promoting the X-Men as "heroes" again, as well as helping put out positive images of mutants as well as expressing that mutants and humans, or gods, or demons, can all cooperate and co-exist without killing each other, Iceman manages to convince Archangel to revive their old team. Only instead of basing themselves in LA again (which is slowly getting cluttered with Excelsior and the Runaways), they'll stick to patrolling Central America, like Chicago and those middle states between New York and California where few heroes dwell. Areas where Graviton and Count Nefaria, with their Maggia and so on, have divided the places like a supervillian mob. And there are other gangs, like Mandarin's son Temugin, running other rackets. They keep things quiet, don't attract Avenger-level attention, leave mutants alone and pray the Hulk never rampages through, and things have been pretty kushy for years. That is, until the Champions reformed and stumbled upon these multi-rackets after finally beating some villians (and not self-destructing). C'mon, if THE DEFENDERS could pull this off, why not this bunch?

The Roster (although it's no one new right now):

Archangel: He's rich and a mutant...and a target for all the paparazzi because he's not only a mutant superhero with a rep for gaining metal wings, changing skin colors and going crazy, but he's been caught "having relations" with the barely-legal Husk! Warren has no clue who leaked it and is none too happy, so while he is the money behind the Champions as usual, he's not the leader. However, as a longtime X-Man, he and Bobby have years of team experience and likely would share that responsibility with themselves and the other members. However, this includes working on Danger Room-esque simulations to better be able to work as a team. Hey, let's see a side of the character who's NOT going crazy or being crucified; the world of rich elite celebs is a wacky one at times. Oh, and he should FINALLY learn how to fly and throw a punch, and actually become a decent FIGHTER. Have him use metallic/titanuim/maybe energy chakrum as throwing weapons (the weapons XENA used to use) so it fits the halo/angel theme.

Iceman: Usually the jokester of the X-Men, now that he's stuck pulling his own weight in co-founding and leading a team, Iceman steps it up a notch. His skills as an accountant help Warren and the others not mismanage their money, and he's stuck defending Angel's laision with Husk, by virtue of having some crazy ex-girlfriends himself. But was he the one who sold out Warren to the paperazzi? Mystery! Anyway, he also has longtime X-experience and would aid with the training.

Black Widow: Rarely showing up much outside of her occaional poor-selling mini's and DD guest appearences, Natasha strangely accepts the offer to reform the Champions, if only to try to escape her "spy" lifestyle for a while and likely because with all of the people who are out to get her after her, having some "free" bodyguards around isn't such a bad idea, nor is getting back into the public's good graces; "hide in plain site" as it were. Of course, since she and Hercules were ex-lovers, expect the fur to fly!

Hercules: Always down for a good brawl and way to show off what a strong Greek God he is, Hercules quickly rejoins the team and serves as their vital "main tank" with his class 100 ton strength and indestructable mace. The fact that the "legendary mortal" Black Widow is there also adds a nudge. Of course, away from the public eye and bravado, is a god who simply wants to use his strength to help the world, and without that cause he becomes aimless.

Darkstar: Another former "agent" of the Soviet Union like Widow was, Darkstar returns with her abilities to manipulate the Darkforce (she's basically Green Lantern with black energy, only can teleport to boot; handy if you have a few seconds). Never accepted by the public last go around, Darkstar seems eager to want to become a "made" American superheroine, like She-Hulk and Ms. Marvel. But is she too eager?

Ghost Rider (Johnny Blaze): Just back from years of torment in the pits of Hell with some new tricks, Mr. Blaze is the least one likely to want to rekindle this "team from yesteryear", and in fact finds it hokey in his quest to have as normal a life as possible...while having to seek out the "souls of the guilty" due to the demon inside him. However, despite his eagerness to be a "lone rider", it has been a good long while since he's had a girlfriend, and he's only half human. But on a less lusty note, despite his reservations about "being on a team", part of him does appreciate that while most people and even a lot of heroes are scared of Ghost Rider and seek to avoid him, the Champions accept him for who he is, even if he is a demon. He's the "jerk who doesn't want to be there" sort of type who, in the end, always comes through when the chips are down.

Bill Foster/Goliath: In the past he was an associate and "ally" of the Champions, never actually a new member. But with Archangel's money being a viable econimic boost to his science career, and Iceman and Archangel knowing that as experienced as they may be, they don't know much of a lick about hardcore science, they tag Foster as an official member. Besides the science angle, of course, Goliath's size-changing powers ads more muscle to boot, even if he's only best outdoors (how big can one get inside a standard warehouse? Does growing to 7-9.5 feet tall add much strength/durability?). Besides, with a fresh territory and a new shot at stardom, Foster's eager to crave out his own niche in the Marvel Universe, instead of just being "the black Henry Pym".

And I wanted to find another heroine to add to the roster, but I'm a bit tapped out for now. I was considering Persuasion, y'know, the Purple Man's daughter who'd likely be eager to make up for her "suddenly-hot-crap evil-with-a-rep" father, but she'd likely fit in better with my AVENGERS: NEXT GENERATION thing with younger heroes and heroines. So, any ideas?

So, NEW CHAMPIONS would be a book with a lot of laughs, a bit of heart and more obscure or non-A listers looking for a shot at the big leagues. With the right writer/artist, this could have been like SHE-HULK, GLA or THE DEFENDERS.

Come to think of it, it would a little humorous that since two of the Champions are X-Men, someone suggested they call themselves the X-Champions to draw on that namepower. Maybe Darkstar or Iceman would suggest that.

I also wanted to mention that on a serious note, while Archangel and Iceman would bring their experience as X-Men to the fold in manners like training sessions, Black Widow and Hercules would also bring their Avenger experience to the table, as the Avengers naturally train differently as they typically expect different threats (like cosmic ones). Ghost Rider brings with him SOME knowledge of the occult, and Darkstar could become interested in that as the Darkforce is something like that. And as stated, Bill Foster brings his intellect.

Bump. Oh, and I read somewhere that Darkstar was killed by Phantomex? Bummer. :(

Anyway, to replace Darkstar, I nominate Cerise, former member of Excaliber and offers another unique race to the Champions, as she is a Shi'ar alien. She has the ability to form solid objects out of light, and was last seen during that "MAXIMUM SECURITY" stuff years back. Anyway, she'd join the Champions while trying to get over constant rejections by Nightcrawler, and naturally offer her own unique, alien perspective to the mix.

I was going to reply to your original idea that I don't care for Darkstar that much, but I thought, "Ahhh, it's your team. I'm not gonna mess with it." But since she's dead ( :O ).......

What would you think about throwing Iron Fist on there? He's always been one of my favorite characters, and gives you the mystical angle with K'un L'un (sp?). Besides, he needs to get away from Cage. They're beginning to look like a gay couple (with Jessica as their beard). AND, it sets up a tie where they can beat up the Avengers like everyone else is....

Funny, half the reason THE CHAMPIONS idea came into my head was because Cyclops and I were debating whether or not they could "take" the New Avengers in IM's. On that topic I say that have a fair shot if you don't take into account Iron Man or Sentry, and they specifically trained for it (prep time).

I actually considered Iron Fist, but I had my own seperate ideas for him (seen many pages ago in this topic), but he is supposed to be a "hero for hire" and the Champions are basically freelance. The only reason I could see him being on board would be to give "free advertising" or because Warren put him on a salary, which of course may offend some other members of the team who are not on salaries.

Tagged Cerise to replace Darstar because she has a simular "energy shapes" power and unlike a few other heroines hasn't done much. Plus, alien women are fun. I kind of wanted another heroine on the team to even the sexes a little, and I debated, for some reason, Jocasta (who was supposed to be in Antigone's body but mysteriously showed up in her old one via Bendis "continuity, schomtinuity" during AVENGERS: DISASSEMBLED. Never felt Jocasta had a fair shake in some ways. She spent a lot of time being rejected. An andriod heroine with emotional baggage? Sign her up!

I think I may have found a heroine to tag for NEW/X-CHAMPIONS besides Jocasta, as due to her later appearences as a cameo in DISASSEMBLED raises new questions as to whether she is still in Antigone's childlike, green body or is in her original andriod body.

And that heroine is Dr. Tania Belinsky, also known as the 3rd Red Guardian and later as Starlight. And she would also fit the notion of THE CHAMPIONS as an eclectic bunch of heroes and heroines who have some skeletons in their closet they are working to overcome. A world renouned nuerosurgeon, Tania was affiliated with the Defenders first to save Nighthawk and then later as the third Red Guardian. She would later be brainwashed and mutated by The Presence into a being who could generate harmful radiation, and who could channel it in either enhanced strength, durability, flight or energy blasts as Starlight, and was constantly tied to the mook as recently as Busiek's "Kang War" Avengers story of the late 90's. To the best of my knowledge she hasn't done much since, unless she was killed somewhere I didn't read.

My take? Tania's FINALLY stopped being a madman's lackey and after leaving the Presence in Russian custody, she returns to the states to try to not only re-establish her career as a doctor of neurosurgery, but also come to terms with her potentially devistating power and make amends for some of the crimes she comitted while under the thrall of Presence while rebuilding her life. One of those crimes was once attempting to hand Darkstar over to him as an additional "Russian femm servant", which is kind of creepy since Darkstar was his daughter. When a CHAMPIONS adventure seems to happen around her, Tania may decide to use the oppurtunity for all her endeavors. Of course, since Red Guardian was carrying on a legacy of Russian atheletic heroes and Starlight was a name given to her by a posessive evil boyfriend, a name and costume change would likely be in order.

Despite all that, Jocasta could still work, too, and her andriodal/technological sort of powers and expertise would lend more to the CHAMPIONS than Tania's radioactive stuff, which essentially makes her a radioactive Ms. Marvel. My specification was "a tarnished heroine getting back into good graces and form", and unfortunately for Marvel they have a SLEW of ruined heroines who need some chances back at glory. For those of you "shocked" that Marvel would allow Bendis to turn Avengers mainstay heroine Scarlet Witch into an emotional basketcase who essentially acted as nothing more than a human plot device, I suggest you not look up the histories of many of Marvel's heroines, as you'll find a trend of bungling, death, and limbo.

Working title: Universe 101

I had an idea about a mega maxi series in the vein of Grant Morrison's ambitious Seven Soldiers series, about an entire comic universe from the Golden age, on through to the Silver and bronze/Dark, and modern age. With various characters, Legacys, all that sort of stuff. I have ideas for various charcters and teams, as well as histories throughout each era for some of the characters. Heres a few.

silver age Captain Cosmic - Now theres a silver age name for ya huh? We have here a brilliant scientist by the name of David Reid, who creates a machine using this strange meteor rock (Which looks oddly enough like the substance that Ben Grimm is made of) to power it. The machine draws in cosmic energy from another dimension. The machince explodes, bathing him in cosmic energy. Enabaling him flight, and the ability to project cosmic energy blasts. He decides to become a hero, while attempting to harness the power again for the betterment of the world. Throughout his exsistance as a hero he creates a number of silly cosmic powered inventions. Such as a cosmic car, and the star gun which he gave to his girlfriend and future wife Marlo, who becomes Cosmic Girl. (Whats the silver age without the silly?) He is a founding member of the superhero team Gaurdians of America. He dies saving the universe during the "Omega Hour" event. Passing his mantle on to.....

silver age Kid Cosmic This young man by the name of Tamon Durr was born in an alternate universe. On his Earth, a mad man in charge of an intergalactic death cult create a machine, which ultimatley would destroy his entire universe. His father, a brilliant scientist, created a ship, an arc if you will, that could travel between dimensions. They fit in as many beings as they could and tried to make the jump. But they took damage during their escape from the cult attempting to stop them. The ship crossed over into the "In-between", where young Tamon was sucked out into the void. When he came too, he was floating in space. Somehow he had a strange glow keeping him from being killed by the vaccum of space. He lay there unconcious. By coincidence, (yeah I know, silver age) Captain Cosmic was out near the moon of Titan testing a new probe he invented when he caught the massive energy signature as it entered universe 101. He, along with the Moon Patrol raced to discover what it was, there they found a young orange boy with silver hair, floating in space. He took the boy in. Rasied him. Made him his sidekick Kid Cosmic and later took him on as a son. The boy drew his power directly from the cosmic energy that exsist in the In-Between. With powers far beyond even the Captain. After many adventures, including battling the mad man that destroyed his universe, and eventually finding his parents and the rest of the survivors of his universe, he took over the mantle of Captain Cosmic after the death of his adopted father. He still watches over the cosmos to the present day.

silver ageThe Moon Patrol Founded by the brilliant ferternal twin scientist, Phinias and Hector Moon back in the early 1960's, the Moon Patrol was basically a cross between taskforce X, The Doom Patrol, and the Challengers of the Unknown. Along with Pilot and close friend Hank Harper and beautiful research assitant Gail Grant (Gotta have the dumb brave tough guy and the , the damsel in distress) They went on adventure after adventrue, protecting the world from alien invasions by ming the merciless like despots, to energy vampires from the center of the Earth. Throughout it all the two bickering brothers were the center of the story. Phinias, being the Stright forward, leader of the group. Praised by the massess for his genious, while Hector sits back and hates on his bro for getting all the press. It's purlely tounge in cheek really. Kinda like Everybody loves Raymond or something. But, everything changes when Hector falls for Gail. But Gail is in love with Hank. WIth all the stuff going on with his jelously for his brother and the s**t with Hank and Gail, he finally loseses it and in a key moment, after they defeat a mad man with a machine to give god like powers to whoever is present inside of it, he uses the opportunity to take his place. WIth all this power, he procedes to try and change the universe to give himself Gail, the glory and accolades, money, power, the Moon Patrol itself. But it doesn't last. Deep down, he knew it wasn't right, and he ended up subconciously setting things up agianst himself. Enabling his brother to remember what happened. And freeing everybody else from his control. Resulting in Phinias leading a force of heros against his brother in a massive battle. When the smoke clears his power is stripped away by a machince Phinias was able to put together at the last minute. (Yeah I know, but hey, it's a comic) Powerless, he scrambles to a weapon, desparate to finally have Gail, he fires at Hank, Gail Jumps in front and is killed. Seeing what he has done, he pulls the gun on himself and well, thats it for Hector. Thats the end of the Silver age Moon Patrol. But not the end of the Moon Patrol by a long shot.

Anyway, thats just a few of the characters. I got more, but I'll probally get back to it later. Tell me what you think. Any suggestions would be appretiated because after all, this is a very rought draft.

I like it! pretty ambitous you've got the right stuff man. It would be nice if one of you guys got tapped to write for one of the big two.

Who, me? Thanks. If I had more free time and the ability to type by thought, I'd actually have written another fan-fic in 3 years. :p

More Universe 101 stuff.

Fearless Five (Silver Age) - This was a Chicago Based Super hero Group from the 1960's/1970's who had a couple of infamous run ins with the Guardians of America, the last resulting in the death of one of it’s members, and the rest of it’s members being forced to go underground for over 15 years. The Group was started around 1967 and consistedof Team Leader, Black Magic, Midnight Phantom, Sista Asani, Sampson, and The Rider. The team consisted almost entirely of african americans, with the exception of The Rider, and he was a known government subversive. They gained notoriety for being involved with the Black Panther movement, which resulted in an altercation with Last Line agents shortly after the death of Black Panther Leader Fred Hampton in 1969 ,and they were also present at many anti war protests throughout that turbulent time in U.S. History. They were suspected of violence against police during the democratic convention held in Chicago in 1968, which dogged them for years and was partially to blame for the possible excessive force leveled against them in their final confrontation with the Guardians. Not much is known about what took place, but what is known is that The Guardians, lead by John Jupiter, were called in to help bring them in after then pregnant FF member, Sista Asani, was arrested by Last Line agents at the Cook County Hospital shortly after she gave birth to the child she had with husband, Sampson. When word got out about what happened, the FF attacked the Cook County omni-human facility she was being held in. The GOA were called out to deal with the problem. A battle ensued in which Sampson was killed by Jupiter. The surviving members were able to escape, and went into hiding. Most haven’t been seen to this day, with the exception of Black Magic, who has appeared helping the new Fearless Five on various occasions. And Midnight Phantom who was killed during the Omega Hour Event.

Members

Black Magic - Not much is known about this individuals past, but he’s extremely proficient in the magical arts. Considered one of the five top mages on Earth. There is talk that his origins go all the way back to the late 1700's. He has appeared here and there since the disbanding of the Five. He has been mintoring the new Midnight Phantom in recent years.

Midnight Phantom (silver age) - The original Phantom was named Leroy Hardaway. He was a young Collage student when he stumbled upon a Medallion while on an archeological dig of a former slave plantation that, according to historical records, all the inhabitants, owners and slaves seemed to vanish in the middle of the night. The place was considered haunted for many years. What he found was an ancient mystical item brought to this country by slaves. It is said that a mysterious shadowy figure spirited slaves away for many years throughout the south until 1847 when the mass disappearance took place. He found out how to use it and became a hero in the city of Chicago. Joining with other like minded heros to form the Fearless Five. He died during the Omega Hour and the Medallion was taken by his former teammate, Black Magic and later given to another individual to carry on Leroy’s fight for truth and Justice.

The Rider - The Rider was born Andrew Hoffman. He had always been a bit of an outsider and considered an individual who leaned to the far Left. In his own discription of himself, he was just a guy who put on a costume to help out the common man instead of keeping the status quo for the rich and corrupt. With his political leanings, it’s no wonder he ended up with the Five. He went under ground along with the rest of the team back in 1974, and hasn’t been seen since.

Sampson - Was born Malichi Thomas in Mobile, Alabama. He was apart of unauthorized experiments against African-American men when he was just 16 years old. He gained super Strength, (95 tons) and durability. Many young men died as a result of these experiments including his younger brother. He and his family moved to Chicago and he decided to become a super hero. Try and do something positive with what happened to him. He met Sista Asani a short time before the Five formed as an official team. In 1973 they were married. He was electrocuted with over 75,000,000 volts of electricity by then GOA leader, John Jupiter. His son has currently taken over his fathers name as a member of the new Fearless Five.

Sista Asani - Born Gladys Mitchell. She was a young girl when she watched her father and mother gunned down by white men on their family farm in Mississippi. She was shot and badly wounded, but she survived. Escaping to a neighboring farm and later finding her way to Chicago to stay with her aunt. She became heavyly involved with the Black Panther movement. Learning various forms of self defense. Inspired by the arrival of new Black Superhero, Midnight Phantom, she put on a costume and fought crime on the streets of Chicago. She joined up with the Five to better protect her people. She fell in love with fellow teammate Sampson and they had a child. Her child was taken away from her after she had given birth and she was arrested on federal charges. Later that day her husband was killed in a rescue attempt. She went underground. Watching her son from afar as he was raised by her cousin Martha. She and her son were reunited when his powers manifested at age 15. She died of Breast Cancer about 10 years later.

how about we start thinkin up Big events???.....I have one that I am gonna post soon.

Final Solution

purpose:
1) Make Quicksilver a major player
2) Make Quasar a major player
3) Create another Avengers team
4) Reform the Defenders

An extradimensional conqueror invades our dimension. He is known as the Tyrant. He has a personal team of his best warriors known as the Horde. They attack Galactus who they knock into our moon. It is from here that they set up their beachhead to invade earth. The Fantastic Four investigate and are captured and tortured. H.E.R.B.I.E. contacts the Avengers and mentions that he hasnt heard from the FF in a week. Cap sends Quasar who runs into the Silver Surfer who is also investigating the absense of Galactus. They discover the aliens and return home. Cap summons the world's heroes together in preparation of an invasion. All heroes are on high alert as are the worlds military forces. Meanwhile Cap sends Dr. Strange, Hulk, Namor, Silver Surfer and Quicksilver to the moon to rescue the FF. The original Defenders vs an invasion army of millions. During the battle Quicksilver slips behind the alien army to free the FF and becomes injured. The FF, Defenders and Quicksilver return to earth. Pietro is taken to a doctor when a oil-like silver substance pours from his wounds and engulfs him. Pietro has discovered his secondary mutation. He can now surround himself in a silver metallic substance(like Colossus) that gives him excellant protection and amps his speed to Flash-like levels. Enraged that the earth has launched a preemptive strike Tyrant leads his Horde to earth. All out attacks Independence Day-like all around the world. The US is caught flatfooted when the aliens hit Los Angeles. At the time several heroes are in LA and Band together to fight. They are Wasp, Giantman, Wonderman, Spiderwoman(mutant one), Quicksilver and Quasar...they are Avengers West. Meanwhile the New Avengers travel to Washington where Tyrant's personal army has attacked. They are taken out swiftly except for Captain America. Tyrant vs Cap as they battle fiercely. Until Tyrant gets the upper hand and begins the extreme butt whipping of Captain America. Cap gets in a good shot that knocks off Tyrant's face concealing helmet to reveal....Steve Rogers. Tyrant is about to administer the killing blow when he is struck from behind.
"I say thee Nay."
Thor stands triumphant as the assembled warriors of Asgard stand behind him.
"I thought you were dead" Cap says
"I had aid in my deception." Thor says as Adam Warlock steps from behind him. When Adam Warlock attained Omniscience he saw this day and when the events of Disassembled occured he gathered the Asgardians into his Soul Gem until the proper time.
Thor leades the warriors of Asgard in a one sided assault on the Horde. Seeing the battle going wrong Warlock summons more into the battle. Enter the 1950's Avengers...Venus, Gorillaman, Marvelboy, 3-D man and the Human Robot. Cap regains his strength and attacks Tyrant this time physically besting him. Captain America is the new leader of the Horde. He orders the immediate halt to all battle. He then commands the Horde to return to it's home dimension and govern it's empire with freedom and justice. The 50's Avengers volunteer to accompany the Horde back and to ensure that Cap's decree is executed.

Now from here wer can launch or relaunch several titles..
1) Quicksilver solo
2) Quasar solo
3) Avengers West
4) Defenders
5) 50's Avengers in the new world
6) Silver Surfer
7) Adam Warlock
8) Thor
9) Dr. Strange

also stories coming out of this story
1) Cap makes an effort to get heroes into other cities other than New York.
2) Return the cosmic to Marvel

Not bad. Marvel definatly needs a return to the sci-fi.

I say that then they go and do Annialation. I need to when the lotto too!!!

Anyway, I had an idea to update Hypno Hustler

He's been very busy scince he last got out of jail. He has been kidnapping lots of young girls and making dirty movies with them and having them work in his own underground brothal. His business has been very lucritive as he's become one of the biggest white slavers in the Tri-State area. He just happens to see a former big time super model, turned off broadway actress and decides to bring her in to his stable. Only problem is, she's married to Spider-Man. The rest just writes itself really. As far as personality goes, I would have him be far more, disturbing, kinda like Purple Man's recent update, but less, Hannibal Lecter. He's all about the business now. Keeping a low profile. No more costumes. Just a cold calculating individual.
