Even though we only know a few bits and pieces about the movie, I'm starting to feel like I know too much. I walked into Thor knowing just about every beat of the film before I sat down. Cap wasn't as bad because I kept myself from watching anything except the official trailers, but I couldn't help but feel cheated a bit there, too, especially when I found out about the Avengers teaser.

Maybe everyone else has better self-control than me. It's just that this movie is something I've been looking forward to forever and I kind of want to go into it as I used to in my pre-Hype days.

I'm thinking about it but unfortunately I have no self control and I will not stay out of this forum

We don't even know who the villians are in this film! How can you say you know too much?

We know that Loki is one of them. We know he's using the Cosmic Cube to attract other villains. We know there are aliens, just not the Skrulls.

That's a lot for someone trying to remain somewhat spoiler-free.

My advice: keep looking at the very first movie stills, posters, first official movie trailer & some interviews.

Forget about any tv-spots, leaked scripts (should they pop up online), trading cards, another movie stills. And I guarantee, that you will have a great movie experience, without being too spoiled or something)

I try to stick to the first or second trailer... but stay away from any TV spots... it's the TV spots where they always show the money shots

Well, if you'll be strong enough to avoid them, then you'll be rewarded with the money shots right in your theater)

You're all enabling me. ENABLERS!

I agree about the TV spot avoidance. That's where a bulk of the spoilers are.

Interviews are ok.... it's not like the cast is gonna spill major spoilers...

Yup, since they've all signed the papers about not revealing any plot details & etc until some particular date.

We don't actually know those parts, because they have not been confirmed by the studio, or interviews or anything. It's just twitter/internet rumors/speculation, and you should never completely believe everything you read on the Net in regards to a movie until you see it happen with your own eyes.

Too much information yet to be released (Hulk, Villians, Fight Scenes), so staying away isn't an option.

Sometimes staying away isn't always a good thing.

I mean, take for example if instead of an epic threat like the Skrulls or Kang the Conqueror they decided to go with the 'Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes' route and start with a mass breakout. Now that would be awesome but if I went in expecting an end of the world scenario and got that I would feel dissapointed.

So by knowing they're going with the breakout so they can develop all the characters first I won't have too high expectations and I can enjoy myself.

I think I've decided to stay (for now). Maybe I'll have to leave next spring when the hype train goes supersonic.

I stayed away from the Cap forum when it got closer to the film's release (maybe for the last 5-6 months). Same with THor. I haven't really gone in the Spider-Man forum (I knew too much about Spidey 3). I'll keep out of the Avengers once we have more substantial news. At the moment there isn't much but speculation, the odd few posters etc. Sometimes talk in this forum isn't even about the Avengers but other subjects like superdickery, TDK, Hawkeye's cameo etc.

I stayed away from Iron Man 2, Thor and Captain America and I enjoyed them even more because of it...I think. IM2 less than the other two. I'll try to stay away from getting any leaked story information other than trailers, but with Hulk in the film, I know I can't completely stay away from this forum.

I want more information out of the Avengers, so I'll be staying in this forum all the way until May 2012 and beyond. It'll be cool to see the movie to start from conception to reality.

I'm too much of a sucker for the spoilers. I wish I had some self control, but I don't, so I'll probably bite at every bit that comes out.

...if I'm not here it's not by choice.....

I'm going to start staying away in Spring. I don't think anything movie-spoiling will come out just yet.

I'm actually considering leaving for different reasons now :/

It's dark times in the Avengers forum these days. Funny how just a few people can ruin something.

:csad:

What chance does Gotham have when the good people do nothing?

I remember the golden years of SHH, when trolls were hilariously stupid. Now they're just prolific. DO NOT WANT.
