The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Anyone else worried about Sony rushing the Sinister Six?

Anyone else think sinster six is film likely to get ASM4 may 2018 spot.

I've thought about that happening. But then Orci said that TASM4 is just a Spider-man movie. The whole situation is a little confusing.

It's not revolutionary as they are trying to copy the MCU.
You can argue that the MCU isn't revolutionary because they were just copying the Universal Movie Monsters from years ago.

A villain team up film in CBMs has never been done before, and that's something that would revolutionize the genre (if done right).

I remember that as well a little baffled but S6 will be challenging

How are they rushing the Sinister Six? They established Lizard in the first film, you have Green Goblin, Electro, and Rhino in this, and all that is left is Norman's Goblin and Doc Ock and Vulture (which I still feel Donald Menken is actually Adrian Toomes).

Smythe could make Green Goblin's new suit. The Man In the Shadows and Norman could be taking turns as the Master Planner and IF Carnage is to appear, he'll be in a Venom movie which "ASM2" is teasing. All you need is either Eddie Brock or Flash Thompson get ahold of the suit and if Felicia is in this movie then she can easily appear as Black Cat in a sequel.

If you ask me, they have things pretty much handled.

However, I do wish Spider-Man was getting the symbiote before anyone else.

By your own logic a villain team up has been done before when Universal teamed up their movie monsters.

ASM3 can be utilized to develop the bigger characters, such as Otto Octavius. He doesn't have to be Doc Ock just yet, I mean the film can be used to get us to know who Otto is and perhaps give us insight as to what drives him to form the S6 (which could even be formed at the end of the film). Or... I don't know. I just hope he's not the central villain in ASM3.
The smaller villains don't need much pre-exposure on screen, honestly. ASM3 and 4 should be focused on the film's own plot, but it's not to say that the films can't be used to introduce characters in S6 and Venom.
But I think things are pretty thought out. They wouldn't go into these projects with no plan.

Well he did specify that it hadn't been done before in a CBM... Details like that are important when trying to twist someone's logic against them.

Wow. I was trying to prove a point that even the MCU wasn't entirely original, but I wasn't attacking it. I was saying that the concept of a shared universe is not new, and used the Universal Movie Monsters as an example. So why can't they do one with comic book villains?

Andrew Garfield is pretty passionate about spoilers, he always gets a little flippant when people ask for them

And copying the Tarantino formula which has all movies in the same continuity.

I'll see TASM2 first before answering this question, but a Sinister Six film can be very good indeed if done properly.

I would love to see it happen but i just don't know who their antagonist could be. It'd have to be something bad enough that would force them to work together for a greater good.

Here's how S6 movie happens in my head no matter how stupid it is lol:
`It will have Spider-man in it but the movie will be from S6 perspective.
`Each member except Rhino, Electro(and Goblin) will have flashback of their encounter with Spidey
`S6 assembles.
`Spidey first battle with S6, he gets his ass whooped
`Final battle, Spidey comes back with symbiote suit.
`Or scratch last two sentences and have movie end with S6 about to face-off Spidey.

A man can dream... :D

I'm getting a Dark Avengers vibe from this Sinister Six movie. Like after TASM3, Norman pretends to reform and starts gathering other "reformed" villains in an attempt to undermine Spidey and show the world that they can be superior heroes. Hijinks ensue.

Spidey 4 will have him deal with them. But Sony sounds like they want to focus on the S6 and have Spidey as a supporting character.

Sinister Six has the potential to be amazing.

I'm hoping they sign the cast for these later movies (Venom, SS, TASM4) as it would really make the universe they've created something special.

I remember in USM, Norman Osborn went on television and pretended to be a good guy now. He said that Spider-Man was evil or something like that and people started to sympathize with him.

What if people believe that Osborn is a good guy and that Spider-Man is bad, so they are "hired" to take him down?

Well, the people love Spidey, as of TASM2. But if the Bugle, Osborn, and a few misunderstandings are thrown into the mix against a Spider-Man who's probably already somewhat emotionally unstable? Yeah, the tides could turn for him. Sinister Six could try to make themselves look like the heroes and take him down.

And I feel like there should be some classical music in the movie.

Who's thinking that them making Sinister Six between TASM3 & TASM4 would be a way for Andy to take a breather, do other movies that he wants to do so he can come back to the role?

Plus, he will look barely older than he does now.

I believe that the Sinster Six movie will be the Spider-Man vs. Sinister Six film and Spider-Man 4 will be the aftermath of that either with Andrew or a new face.

This is the infamous Gustav Fiers aka The Gentleman that we've been talking about from the Sinister Six novels:

Or as we've been calling him in these movies: [BLACKOUT]The man in the shadows.[/BLACKOUT]
